Steemit challenge season 33 week:2 ||Paper art painting

Craft making is one of those skills that uplift me, energised and boost me especially when I'm emotionally down, I use craft making to help strengthen my mental health

So today, while joining this challenge, I decided to create a wonderful masterpiece, a flower in a vase. I decided to paint the branches and the leaf of the flower then used paper to create the flowers on the tree.

Steps taken to create my beautiful masterpiece

First, I cut the purple and green sugar paper to a flower shape and sizes. I used same measurements to cut it so I get same sizes to maintain the uniformity.

• I applied gum to the disposable cup and attached it to the A4 white paper, I make sure it's firm to avoid damage. This disposable cup serves as my flower vase. Then I sketched a flower with branches and leafs using the mixture of red and black paint which gives me this shade of brown.

• I glued the paper flowers to the stem as seen, I also incorporated the colours so it blend well and makes it beautiful.

I glued all the flowers and it looks so beautiful as seen above.

I really do enjoy paper at creation it always help me in my mental health. It helped me visualise the outcome thing fast and then take practical step in executing what I was saying in my mind eyes.

I really love craft, so thinking about the outcome of what I'll be creating always give me that motivation to create something out of nothing irrespective of how stressful that thing may be. My eagerness in seeing the outcome always moved me to create something and that is one reason why I like craft making.

What was the difficult part you explained during the task??

The most difficult part I encounter during the craft making, was carving out those flowers it wasn't really easy to get the sizes all equal. In fact I wasted some papers in order to get it accurately but I didn't give up.

But once I got the exact measurements, I used it to replicate the rest and that's how I got it done.

Another challenging part i encountered was positioning and sticking the paper flowers neatly on the stem to avoid them looking cluster with colours, making them look balanced and realistic was a bit challenging but I did It finally. Although It took some time and requires patience on my part, It took some patience to position each flower properly, paying attention to the spaces in the branches making it look naturally beautiful.

So once we find difficulties in carrying out a task, we should always keep trying till we get it right, rather than giving up.
