The Qur'an and the Science : exploring the marine science

Assalamu Alaikum!

Surah Al-Furqan, verse 25:53, of the Qur'an refers to the study of marine biology and oceanography. In this verse, Allah states “And He is the One who has released the Two Seas; one fresh and sweet, the other salty and bitter. And He has made between them a barrier; so they do not pass beyond it.” This verse was thought to be a poetic image until recently when scientists discovered that there are many places along the Earth where two unlike bodies of water come into contact without mixing because of haloclines and thermoclines, which are also known as "hydraulic" forms of barriers.
