The German company Agile Robots announced a collaboration with the Google Deep Mind the Alphabet Inc. laboratory to integrate Gemini Robotics artificial intelligence models into real industrial platforms, translated, Google wants to teach factory robots to think better.

The objective of the collaboration is to unite two powerful forces, on the one hand, the fundamental Ya models of Deep Mind, capable of interpreting language, context and multiple variables, on the other, the hardware of Agile Robots, which has already installed more than 20,000 robotic solutions in the world, together they seek to create machines capable of operating in complex production lines, changing tasks, adapting to unforeseen events and learning in a quantum manner.

This represents a historical turn, until today, automating a factory required programming every detail, every movement, every exception, in the new model, the robot observes, interprets and decides, it is the difference between an automatic tool and a digital operator, among the systems involved is the Agile ONE humanoid, designed to work alongside people safely, in addition to advanced robotic arms used in precision manufacturing.

The initial focus will be on industrial applications with high added value, sectors where error is expensive and efficiency defines competitiveness, but the most important detail is in the so-called virtuous cycle of AI, it works like this: Robots operating in the real world generate real data, that data trains more intelligent models. Better models make more capable robberies, more capable robots are deployed in more places and the cycle begins again.
