Voice of Talent – Singing Contest Week #7

Hello Steemians

For this contest I sang the song title Ami Nyekom Obong Abasi Mi, which means I will give thanks to the Lord my God.The song is an Efik Song, a song from my language ibibio. I recorded my performance as a video with my natural voice. I didn't add lipsync no nobody's voice was added no AI, just my voice singing right from my heart.

I picked this particular song because I believe that in everything in any situation we faced in life that we should always give thanks to God. Not when life is going smoothly that we should render thanks to God but even when everything seems hard when waiting for something or praying for something or someone. This songs reminds me that giving thanks to God isn't ties to good things only it's a way of life.

The song has a lot of message. Personally one of the message is that if you keep believing in yourself and you definitely work hard you will achieve what you have been aiming at. Another message is by staying faithful and keep pushing even on the hard days.

Singing the song in my own language means a lot to me because this is the same language I find it difficult learning when I was little. Each time I sing each lines of the song I feel connected not just to God but to the singers who sang the same words of Thanksgiving through the good and the bad times.

Before I conclude I want to individual like us to keep believing in their dreams of progressing. Keep on pressing on when progress seems slow and never to forget stop thanking God because gratitude carries everything untill we achieve what we have been hoping for.
