Ulog #047 : Walk of Hope's Street Art in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines
Having a respite from our livelihood training in Tan-awan, @flabbergast-art is in town, Vigan in Northern Philippines. This place is the capital of the province, a tourist destination and personally, the nearest city to buy any provisions.
With no other plans to do here with @walkofhope, or so i thought, something great is in the pipeline that i have got no liberty to say as yet. With steem at 22 cents, there is a bit of limitation on what we will be doing with our next projects.
BUT, never say NEVER. Let us surprise YOU.
Out on the street the other day, @flabbergast-art was requested by these kids to help them out in making some artwork in their basketball court. And for 2 hours, he and the kids worked on them as a basketball tournament was to follow.
So here they are!
@flabbergast-art has accepted some commision works so maybe i can personally see him working on those. The issue is, he starts to work at dawn...i don't think he will be willing to do them in a 24-hour coffee shop. Let me find one in Vigan.
Just do it!
This basketball tournament is a part of the coming festival in the city, an inter-municipalities of Vigan. I still have to see a program of the festivities as for sure @flabbergast-art will want to get involved. As previous painting competitions before, ha has participated in judging artworks.
Perhaps i will learn more from him in the coming days.
Lastly, @walkofhope is indebted to this man Tatum Castro for his help at the Ninoy International Airport 8 months ago in Manila when @flabbergast-art was flying out to the Visayas. We didn't have enough money to pay for all of the luggages to check-in. And as an answer to our prayers, this man saw all the musical instruments that he was carrying. For that he got a new bamboo flute, made in Tan-awan as he is a musician too. Cheers Tatum!
