The Diary Game: At The Health Center For My Daughter's Immunization And Cooking (29/04/2026)

@heluxe here. Today, I woke up and then I went to the health center for my daughter's immunization. This was going to be the last dosage of the polio immunization. When I arrived at the place, there were so many people, nursing mothers that came to the place, so I took my seat at the back and then I stayed and waited for my turn.

When my daughter was vaccinated, I took her back home and then I asked her to stay while I go out to go and buy firewood at the market. I left the house some money and then when I got there, I saw so many firewood, I stood there and price the one I went for and then paid for it before leaving the market.

If you are living in Nigeria, you will understand how costly gas is nowadays. So, the reason I bought firewood was to make sure I have it at home so I could be using to cook since electricity is not always available. I will cook with the firewood and then I will use gas cooker to warm it anytime I want to, with that, my gas will save and then I will not bother filling gas for a long period of time.

When I came back, my daughter had slept off, so, I took the firewood to the backyard and kept it there before I came to the house to start the preparation of what I wanted to prepare. I used the firewood and and I cooked rice and beans. This was just very economical for me and although it's very hot using the firewood, but it's good and fast anyways.

When I finished eating the food I cooked, I washed the plates, removed the clothes I wore to cook and washed them because they were actually scenting like the smoke from fire. After I finished that, I went to the sitting room and arranged where I do sit and work.

I started working in that afternoon, I worked throughout that afternoon, my daughter was so gracious that she slept throughout the afternoon I was working. The only time she woke up was when I draged the sewing machine back to it place after I had finished working. But to say that she disturbed me while I was working, she didn't.

After her elder sister came back home, I gave her food to eat and then I took the trash to where we do dump it and came back home to bath both of them. After I finished, I took my evening bath so that I will be able to breastfeed her. I had to rest first because I was tired.

When I finished with everything, I went to the parlour to just stay there and relax. It was already a beautiful and fruitful day to start with. Now, I would want to go to bed and have a proper rest.
