Aamina hospital is among the leading maternity hospitals in the valley right now, and in fact, after government hospitals, it would be considered one of the top-rated with a good success rate. Although it is not only a maternity hospital, as far as I know, I am familiar with only one department of this hospital, and based on the experiences shared by others, it is considered quite a good hospital in the valley.

The most satisfying aspect I found was that every maternity patient, particularly after surgery, is provided with a separate room equipped with all necessary facilities, including an attached washroom. This separate space is something patients appreciate, especially since attendants are often restricted in government hospitals, whereas here they are allowed to visit the patient at any time during the day.

It is located at a convenient distance from our area and lies on one of the main routes connecting us to Srinagar city, which makes it a preferred choice during health issues and emergencies. Situated at Nowgam Bypass near Chanapora, it also offers good parking facilities in the backyard.

Overall, the hospital is quite good based on our experience. The availability of doctors and the utmost care provided to patients after surgeries and during treatment is admirable. It is not a very large hospital, but it is sufficiently sized to accommodate 20 to 30 patients, each having separate rooms.

The 24/7 canteen facility adds convenience for both patients and attendants. Due to the limited number of beds, the hospital ensures better care and attention. Additionally, the medical store in the basement is another helpful facility, making it a complete hospital where one rarely needs to go outside for anything.

No doubt, private hospitals charge more for their services, but one thing is certain—the care they provide often justifies the cost. I am fully satisfied with the services they provided during my sister-in-law’s delivery. Not only me, but everyone who accompanied her and stayed at the hospital during her four-day admission had a good experience. Overall, it was a positive experience, as the hospital delivered efficient and timely services, which is what matters the most.
