The Dairy Game: An Unexpected Setback in the Kitchen 2nd August 2026

Hello everyone, it's yours truly @joken. I am happy to share how my day went today.

Good day, everyone. I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the new month.

My day began on a peaceful note. I woke up early, said my morning prayers, and went to the kitchen to drink my usual warm water. After that, I cleaned my surroundings and prepared for the rest of the day's activities.

Later in the day, I decided to cook yam porridge for my family. I brought out the yams and started peeling them, expecting to prepare a delicious meal.

However, I got an unpleasant surprise. To my disappointment, I discovered that most of the yams had spoiled. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I kept wondering whether the hot weather had caused them to spoil so quickly.

I felt disappointed because there were so many spoiled yams, and it seemed like such a waste.

Thankfully, after checking the remaining ones carefully, I found one good yam that was still fresh enough to use. I was able to prepare the yam porridge for my family, and that brought me great relief.

Although the experience was disappointing, I chose to be grateful. We still had a meal to enjoy, and for that, I give God all the glory.

Moments like this remind me that even when unexpected challenges arise, there is always a reason to thank God.
