The Diary Game [29/09/2026]Attended my cousin’s funeral

Hello friends and family members accepted special greetings from this end of globe . For the past one week have been a sad moment as I lost my cousin in a fatal accident on his motorbike going for work. He collided with another motorbike.All of them die at the spot. He is a military man by profession employed by state .We are in deep shock but who am I question God .

It’s a very difficult moment for our family and a specially the wife .He died leaving behind a wife and three kids . The shocking news since last week has left the family, friends and sympathizers in deep morning . The mortal remains was kept inthe mortuary at his place of region.

Normally, in my own country as a state military when you die the .The president need to give you a state burial honor . Our family and the boss of his working place had to decide and bring out the burial program.To be signed and approved by the minister of defence in Cameroon.The finally burial program was approved .

That means his corpse will be transported by colleagues from his place of work to our home town for proper burial. In African tradition we believe to burry the death at their home of origin or home town. Only few cases are burried out of home town. He was working in the east region of Cameroon .While the burial will take place inthe north west region of Cameroon of Cameroon precisely Bamenda his home town .

They corpse left his place of work yesterday at 3:00pm, from the east region .It about 18hours journey for them to arrived our home town with the corpse .From the plan program the corpse is to arrived 9:30 ,family, friends and sympathies will view the corpse at 1:00am the church service for funeral with start.By this time, we were already in church .

Unfortunately the day didnot go as planned we recieved a called from this colleagues transporting the corpse .That the military one of the military vehicles has got bad on the way . It took them more than 5hours to fixed and continue the journey.we waited aand waited with people who came for the burial funeral at their church yard to no avail.

At one point it was already 12:00pm, they haven’t arrived with the corpse .The priest who were to do mass for the burial decided for the church service to start without the corpse .Since people have travel from far distance it help them to travel back early .Also as the corpse is arriving they will bless the corpse and take it to the burial ground.

Exactly at 1:30pm, funeral service was over but my cousin corpse has not arrived . The military called and said in 45minutes they will arrived with the corpse .We waited and started entertaining people who travel afar with foods to eat since morning they haven’t eaten.Around, 2:30pm, my cousin’scolleague arrived with the corpse at the church yard .

It was a sad moments as we weep ,so emotional and sad situation that people could not resist .It was really a long journey for the corpse to arrived but we thank God dispite care break on the way .They were able to fixed.Immediately the military removed the corpse from their vehicle place Cameroon flag on it .Which it’s a symbol of state honor for someone who has served the state for long .

Family , friends and well wishes immediately the corpse was laid front of the church .Ten minutes was given for people to view before the proper burial .After, the priest prayed and bless the corpse to be taken to the burial ground .Now his colleagues performed their own state honor and took the corpse straight to the burial ground .

My cousin is buried in the church cemetery. The colleague did the burial , they was serious weeping .After , he was buried the population moved to hall.It was already 4:00pm, we entertained people with foods and drinks .We did same with his colleagues who came to laid him to rest . After, the colleagues kickoff back to their work destination.Its a long journey for them 20hours to reach .We really thank them for their love and sacrifices toward our brother.

Around, 6:00pm, I left the hall back to my destination . I arrived home feeling very tired , but we thank God despite the change of plans how the burial program was supposed to be . Our brother funeral past on well .please pray for the family and the wife to withstand this difficult moment . Brother may your soul keep resting in peace 🙏🙏🙏.
