The Diary Game[31/01/2026]Attended a friend’s father’s funeral.

Hello @everyone accept special greetings from this end of globe .Today is the burial day of one of our family friends father .The father has been sick a while passed away last .The remains was kept in the mortuary and today is the burial day .May papa Patrick soul keep resting in peace .

Yesterday after a serious thought with my husband.We decided I should follow our friend to the village for his fathers funeral.My husband is very busy with work and so I had to represents our family .This are moments friends need people by them and not only in good times.Their village the insecurity is not easy but I had to brave the oath to take risk and put everything in God’s hands.

I remembered two years I lost my father .Him and the wife was there for me throughout and I think this is the time I need to be with them. I don’t take people who show me concern when I need them for granted .I had to travel with the corpse on Friday while the funeral will take place on Saturday .

When we arrived the village the corpse was kept in their district hospital to be removed the next day .The Friday night was characterised by wake keep activities praise , singing and worship. On Saturday early hours at 8:30am the corpse was removed from the district mortuary inthe village. We were rounding up with food reception preparation.After, we finished and freshened up followed the church

The church service for the funeral was taking place in our friend’s family place .The family compound is big and host the funeral . When the corpse arrived most people viewed the corpse .After, the church service for burial funeral started. Some men ushered the corpse with serious dancing celebrating the life of papa

The funeral service took about 2hours to be finished.I love the way everything was briefed because they knew people are traveling to far places .This will enable people to leave early .When the church service funeral was done .The corpse was taken to burial place just in the family compound to be buried .

It was a mixed feeling situation as I saw our family friend crying . I started feeling so emotional when the husband said he now and orphan .The mother died three years ago leaving the father behind .Now the father is death ,I had to consoled papa and mama is resting in heaven in the hands of the lord.They will continue to watch of them . We had entertained people with foods and drinks after the burial .

There was enough chewable , food and drinks for people .Around 3:00pm had to pack my things and travelled back to town .We were many of us who travelled to the village for our friends father’s funeral .Some of us were travelling back town .We carried our bags to where the vehicle will take us just beside the house .

We all paid our transport fair first .The bus driver put our bags and in the bus and arrange them.Later, we kicked for town,I arrived at my destination in town at 6:00pm . Took a bike home to drop me home . First I thank God for the mercies journey.

It was a tiring day and good funeral day for our family friend father .Everything went on without no problem.May papa Patrick soul keep resting peace🙏🙏🙏.May God comfort the family throughout this difficult moment 🙏🙏.
