SLC31-W1: Shop & Share Challenge - Visit a Small Local Shop
Hello friends, I hope you are all well. For the first week of the Steemit Challenge contest, I will be sharing my experience and a review of local small shop. I would like to thank the organizers of this challenge, and without further delay, I am starting my participation.

A visit to small shop- Jabed Store
I visited Jabed Store, which is a small grocery shop in my locality near my home. Although not all our daily necessities are available here, a fair number of items can be found. Since it is a neighbor’s shop right next to my house, one can easily come here at any time to shop for emergency needs.
The shop remains open every day from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. It is located in South Sitalpur Village, Sitakunda, adjacent to the Lalbagh Shipyard Road. The customers of this shop are the people from our surrounding area. Since it is a neighborhood shop, people can visit and purchase things easily whenever something urgent is needed.

The decoration of the shop is not particularly grand; I visited here to keep things relevant and respect the contest topic. In these types of village shops, not much attention is usually given to decoration; instead, they stock products that have high demand among customers.
The shop is approximately 250-300 square feet in size, featuring 4-5 showcase-type shelves where products are displayed. It is built with a fairly sturdy structure and a tin-shed roof. There are fans and lights on the ceiling to control the temperature and keep the indoors illuminated at night.

The shop only stocks products that are in demand by customers. Notable items include biscuits, cakes, chanachur, toothpaste, flour, sugar, oil, and many other grocery items. Additionally, since there is a deep freezer, ice cream and cold drinks are kept for the summer heat. Alongside this, online banking services like bKash and Nagad transactions can be made here.

Below, I am mentioning the prices of some products:*
| Product Name | Quantity | Price (BDT) | Price (STEEM) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cup Ice Cream | 3 units | 90 Taka | 12 STEEM |
| Biscuit | 1 pack | 25 Taka | 3.33 STEEM |
| Cake | 1 piece | 15 Taka | 2.00 STEEM |
| Chanachur | 1 pack | 40 Taka | 5.33 STEEM |
| Toothpaste | 80 gm | 80 Taka | 10.2 STEEM |
I often buy necessary items from here. Although I buy most of my products from large supermarkets, I purchase from here when something is needed late at night. I mostly visit this shop for bKash and Nagad transaction services, and I am satisfied with the shopkeeper's service.
✓ Tell us why you chose that shop
Respecting the contest rules and keeping it relevant, I visited a small local shop. There are larger departmental stores in our area with more products and services, but my topic was to visit a nearby shop and share the experience. I visited this small store, which is closest to me, to share a live experience.

✓ The price of the item you purchased from the shop
During my recent visit to this shop, I bought 3 cup ice creams. It has been quite hot lately, and in this heat, ice cream feels like a great blessing. Considering the heat, the owner of Jabed Store has kept good quality ice creams in his cold storage.
As the shop is close at hand, one can easily buy things whenever they wish. No receipt is provided here; the 3 cup ice creams were simply packed in a plastic poly bag for convenience in carrying. The price of the 3 cup ice creams I bought was 90 Taka, which converts to 12 STEEM.

✓ Your shopping experience.
My shopping experience was good. I did not find the main owner of the shop when I was buying the ice creams; his father was there instead. He packed the ice creams nicely in a poly bag and gave me 3 spoons with the cups, which many shopkeepers do not provide. I was able to buy my products within a minute of arriving, and overall, my shopping experience was good.
✓ What do you think the shop or store owner needs to do to expand his or her business and tell us if the business is lagging in patronage.
One thing I liked is that they stock products according to customer demand, such as keeping ice cream for the summer. However, there are many other daily essential products, especially grocery items, that are not available here.
Funds are needed for business. May be they do not have enough funds to invest in making the shop's interior brighter and larger, stocking more grocery items, and hiring a sales assistant so that customers do not have to wait long for products. I believe the shop owner needs to improve these things.

Review/Grading
Review:
Jabed Store, at which you have shop from is a nice place for shopping, and I recommend your efforts to visit the store. Stocking products according to customer's demand is a good ideas but the issue would going about all asking customers want their needs which I think the best is to sell what is highly needed and use in the store.
