The Dairy Game: My Busy Monday on Call Duty: (1/06/2026)

Hello dear Steemians family! I hope you’re all doing well. I’d like to share my experience of a day that was both hectic and rewarding.

I woke up early, prepared myself, and arrived at the office on time. We began the day with morning devotion, which always uplifts my spirits and readies me for the challenges ahead. After that, we went to our designated assignments for the week. This week, I’m on Call Duty, a term familiar to medical professionals. Being on Call Duty means I am tasked with responding to any emergencies that may arise and working additional hours beyond the usual schedule. Additionally, I oversee the meals prepared for the medical team on duty.

On Monday, we served Jollof Rice, and I was heavily involved in ensuring everything went well. From parboiling the rice and washing it to preparing the stew and supervising the cooking, I made sure each step was carried out correctly. Once the meal was ready, the chefs served it, and I enjoyed my portion with the team.

By the end of the workday at 7 pm, I felt completely drained and quite hungry. Despite the long hours and responsibilities, I was grateful that my shift passed without any emergencies. It was a relief and a blessing to finish the day without any unexpected issues.

After leaving the office, I returned home, cleaned up, and took some time to rest while reflecting on the day. Mondays can be intense, especially when on Call Duty, but they also highlight the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and serving others with commitment. Even in my exhaustion, I found joy in knowing I had made a meaningful contribution to my team and workplace.
