The dairy game|17 July 2026: A Simple Day of Hustle, Reflection & Reset.
Good evening Steemit fam.
Today started like most of my days with gratitude. The moment I opened my eyes, I said my prayers. It’s become my non-negotiable ritual. No matter how tough things get, starting the day with prayer keeps me grounded and gives me the strength I need to push through.
After prayers, I headed straight to my grasscutters’ cage. Cleaned it properly, removed the old bedding, and gave them fresh feed and water. These animals are part of my hustle taking care of them early in the morning sets the tone for the rest of the day.
Next, I tackled the laundry. There’s something satisfying about washing clothes by hand. I soaked, scrubbed, and rinsed everything until it was clean. No washing machine here just buckets, soap, and elbow grease.
Then I took my breakfast. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot, it was nothing too special, I just love to eat swallow, so I eat the fufu that was left from last night and it filled me so well.
The afternoon, though… that one tested me. I accidentally broke my wall mirror. The sound of it shattering hit different. It left me frustrated and a bit down for a while. Small things like that can shake your mood, but I reminded myself it’s just a mirror. Life goes on.
By around 5:30 PM, I decided I needed fresh air. I went out for a stroll to clear my head and shake off the stress. The evening breeze did wonders. Walking always helps me reset and see things from a better perspective.
The rain almost caught up with me while I was heading back home but thank God it didn't but it was almost dropping before I stepped inside my room.
Even with the little setback today, I’m grateful. Grateful for the strength to pray, the discipline to handle my responsibilities, and the wisdom to know when to step out and breathe.
Life is a mixture of small wins, minor accidents, and quiet moments of peace. Tomorrow is another day to do better.
