The Diary Game: Spending Time With Family/ Enjoying The Public Holiday 09/06/2026

So, today in Ogun state, our governor declared a public holiday for the whole state. We were very happy and as such, I was home with my family. So, I woke up and met my wife outside, she was washing clothes and also making sure our son wasn't crying at the same time.

I went and carried the boy and then I gave her the chance to wash. My neighbour was already washing her own clothes. Inorder to hasten my wife up, I had to go and help her to rinse the clothes when she finished washing them. By this, we saved time and then she was relieved.

I used to look for how I could help my wife because that woman has really been doing a lot lately and I salute her courage. After that, I took the waste out so that I can also buy something on my way coming back home.

My wife has always been telling me that she wants to eat our local chicken and not broiler or noilers. I promised her that anytime I was home, I was going to make sure I give her the chicken and today, while coming back from where I went to thrash the refuse, I bought that for her.

After I killed and slaughtered, I prepared it myself because that was what I wanted us to eat. After preparing that, it was already afternoon and we ate our lunch at once. Once we finished eating, I took my bath and went to the sitting room to stay. Since there was no electricity, I went outside to stay, you can feel my hair.

I stayed outside for quite a very long time and when I began to feel sleepy, I went inside to go and rest. This was because I needed sometime off for myself and didn't want my son to disturb me just yet. So, I slept all through.

When I woke up, my wife was watching movie with our son, so I went out and i got to he supermarket. We were short of toiletries and other petty things at home. I got them and then I went back to the house. I handed them to my wife and I joined them to watch the movie.

When I finished watching the movie, I wanted to step out, but my wife said I should come and change the clothe I was wearing that it wasn't presentable, so I went and changed it up then I went to the shop. I didn't go there for anything but to check if the water that drips into the shop anytime it rains had touched anything in the shop.

When I got to the shop, I noticed none of the items were being disturbed by the water. I was now satisfied and so I took my leave. When I left the shop, I trekked back to the house. When I got back home, my wife gave me dinner and I ate it and took my bath.

I played with my son for a while then I came inside to come and read my Bible because on Sunday, I will be leading the bible fellowship session. Then after that, I came to share my day and I wish you all the best in life.
