STEEM EVM Update: 270K Blocks, Full Validator Set Online & Network Health
Note: Upvoting and resteeming this post directly motivates me to continue building and improving the Steem Virtual Machine ecosystem. Your support is greatly appreciated!
The Steem Virtual Machine (SVM) has reached a new milestone of stability and decentralization. Today, I am proud to report that all validators are back online and actively producing blocks. The network has successfully crossed 270,000 blocks, demonstrating the resilience of our infrastructure following the recent v0.0.2-Beta1 upgrade.

🎉 All Validators Online & Producing Blocks
Following the call to action in my previous post, I am thrilled to confirm that all jailed validators have successfully updated their nodes, unjailed, and rejoined the active set.
This means the SVM is now secured by its full complement of 12 validators, ensuring maximum decentralization and security for the testnet. A huge thank you to everyone who acted quickly to restore their nodes:

Network Health & Statistics
The blockchain is operating smoothly with consistent block times and healthy transaction throughput. The increase in total transactions indicates growing engagement with the Sherpa Protocol and other on-chain activities.
Current Network Stats:
- Total Blocks Produced: 270,086+
- Total Transactions: 8,883
- EVM-Only Transactions: 1,061
- Registered Addresses: 81+
- Average Daily Transactions: ~27
- Average Block Time: 6.7 seconds
- Average Gas Price: 1 gwei
The stable block time of 6.7 seconds and low gas price of 1 gwei confirm that the network is optimized for efficient testing and development.
Sherpa Allocation Update
For those interested in the tokenomics and validator rewards, please refer to my recent detailed post regarding the Sherpa Allocation and the extension of the validator reward deadline to August 4th.
