Steem Ludo - A Beginner's Guide: Play, Add STEEM & Win Real Rewards

This guide walks a brand new player through everything: how to start, how to fund your account with STEEM and how the two fastest ways to play:
- Quick Match
- Bot Match actually work.
Step 1: Getting Started as a New Player
- Open the Ludo lobby Ludo.
- Log in with your Steem account (Steem Keychain or your key). The lobby is open to guests, but the moment you pick a paid game mode, you'll be asked to log in, after that it takes you straight into the match.
- Pick a game mode from the game lobby.
- New players usually start with the two auto-matchmaking modes, because the server pairs you automatically and drops you right onto the board.
Step 2: How to Add STEEM to Your Game
Staked matches use your in-game Ludo STEEM balance, so before you can join a paid game you need to top it up:
- Open the Deposit box clicking on steem icon from HEADER.
- Enter the amount of STEEM you want to add.
- Sign the transfer with Steem Keychain or your Active Key, the STEEM goes to the Ludo treasury account with a ludo deposit memo.
- Your in-game balance updates, and you're ready to challenge.
- If you try to join a match without enough balance, the game politely reminds you to "deposit ludo steem coins." Just top up and jump back in.
Quick Match Mode
Quick Match uses the smooth auto-pairing experience as 2player Match, but it's built so you never wait around:
- Stake: 5 STEEM (a lower entry, great for beginners)
- The server first searches for a real opponent. If two quick match seekers are waiting, you get paired into a real staked game against a human.
- If no real player turns up in time, the server automatically drops you into a game against the ludobot, so you always get to play.
- Winner earns 9 STEEM +3 Boosts 🎁.
- Bot Match is the friendliest on-ramp for new players: low stake, guaranteed match, real rewards.
2player Match Mode
This is auto-matchmaking against a real human. You tap the 2 Player card and the server pairs you with the next real player in the queue.
- Stake: 10 STEEM per player
- Pot: both stakes freeze → 20 STEEM on the line
- Winner takes the pot + 3 Boosts.
- You'll see a "Finding an opponent…" screen while the server pairs you, then the game auto-starts the instant your opponent is found.
- Perfect for players who want a fair head-to-head against another real person for a bigger prize.
