The Dairy Game 04/07/2026. Cherishing Every Moment of My Younger Sibling's Wedding Day.
Last Saturday of the month of June and Frist Saturday of July fill my father's house with joy my, happiness and laughter as we join hands to make our younger sister introduction and wedding ceremony a huge successful.
Friday's night was even amazing the moment my parents, my siblings, Aunty's, uncle's and some of my relatives came to pass a night in our house. Guess what? None of us slept throughout the night, it was gisting excitement, funs and joys all through the night till day break, before which all the perishable items was prepared and preserved.
It was full of Jubilation because most of us has missed each other for half a decade or thereabout.
On Saturday morning, My siblings and friends started food preparation.It is our culture for the bride's family to prepare different delicacies to serve the visitors.
After cooking we packed the food into one house, waiting for drivers.
Some people will stay at attend to immediate visitor, I decided to my sister's wedding ceremony so I felt like looking beautiful by applying a light makeup while my husband prepare himself and our kids. Thereafter we all moved to the venue.

Looking round the hall, it was filled with invitees and relatives, Waw! Every one looked beautiful and cute. They all were on their seat waiting arrival of the couple. In less than no time they arrived and the began immediately with song and prayer by the chairman of the occasion. Thereafter the marriage discussion was given by one of our brothers. He reminded the couple of their rules in marriage as recorded in the holy scripture that...." man is the head of the house and he need to provide, protect, shelter and care for the wife.He should love and cherish the wife as he does himself and always be ready to forgive.
Then for the wife, she should have deep respect for her husband, Love and care for her house. They both were encouraged to keep spiritual things first and take Jehovah God the originator of marriage as thier third cord in their bond. The talk was really inspiring and encouraging helping even the old couple to refresh their marriage. At the end of the talk the speaker gave both of the a vow and their marriage certificate obtained from court providing a legal marriage. There was a big applause from the audience after the announcement. The Marriage discuss part ended with song and prayer.
Order of photograph followed afterward. I was with my baby, so I was unable to take much pictures but few memories.
A place was arranged for a reception as s second part of the ceremony. There the MC introduced everyone to seat.The next thing was giving the groomsmen and trends the opportunity to dance into the Hall before the couple.
The chairman open to the ceremony with peaceful remark and encouraged everyone for a conduct and orderliness to God's Glory. He warned spreading of Nigeria currency on the couple while dancing which is against the law and abuse of Naira. Envelopes was provided for any one who want to do so.
Several activities was taking place at the reception like cutting of cake, game and jokes. The cutting of the cake was by the number of children they intend to have and cut it at the count of 25. Everyone busted to laughter.
As for the game, groomsmen and bridal train were to sing nursery rhymes. The groomsmen sign in our dialect while the bridal train Sing in English, a everyone join in singing off-key with smiles, hahaha 🤣😹 this was one of the most funny part in the event.
While that was going on, there was refreshments underground. Party jollof rice was shared to people with drink, if check the video properly you will notice how it was going on.
Before we could realised ourselves, it was already 5:00PM. So the chairman concluded the event, allowing the groom to express their gratitude to everyone. The event ended with a closing prayer.
There was Dance! Dance!! Dance after the prayer!!! Opportunity.💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽.
We finally journeyed back home and I was feeling grateful and elated for my dear sister and the husband. The both has started a school of no graduation, a beautiful journey of family life, we all wished her success and happiness.
Reaching home it was night already so we just showered, gist about the day and retired to bed
