The Diary Game || [19/07/2026] | A Fulfilled Sunday: From Kingdom Hall to Sunset
Hello Steemians, welcome to my blog. Happy new week once again
Today was another fulfilled day in my life. Why do I say so? Every time I have the opportunity to gather with my fellow brethren, it always gladdens my heart. There’s something special about coming together to worship, to learn, and to encourage one another. It reminds me that I am not alone in this walk.
Let me tell you how my Sunday went.
The previous days had been rainy. I woke up each morning to the sound of rain on the roof, and the roads were wet and muddy. I was a bit worried that Sunday would be the same. However, on Sunday morning, it only drizzled a little. The clouds were still grey, but the rain was gentle. I had already made up my mind that nothing would keep me from the meeting. Whether it was raining or shining, I was determined to be there.
I woke up early, just as I do on weekdays. I did my regular morning chores, sweeping, washing, and tidying up. After that, I got myself ready for the Sunday meeting at the Kingdom Hall. I ironed my clothes, prepared my Bible and notebook, and said a prayer before stepping out.
I didn’t have anyone to come and pick me up, so I decided to trek. The road was still a bit damp from the drizzle, but the air was fresh and cool. As I walked, I used the time to reflect and to meditate on the scriptures I had read earlier. By the time I got to the Kingdom Hall, the Watchtower teaching had just started. I was grateful I didn’t miss it.
I found a seat in the pew, settled down, and listened carefully. The discussion was engaging, and I participated by raising my hand to answer a few questions. There’s a joy that comes from sharing what you’ve learned and hearing insights from others. The atmosphere was peaceful, and I could feel how the meeting strengthened everyone present.

When the service ended, it was 11:00 a.m. We didn’t leave immediately. We waited for the announcements. The brothers shared information about the upcoming Wednesday teaching and also distributed the current Awake! magazine. I collected my copy and made a mental note to read it later in the week.

After the announcements, we were dismissed. Some people went straight to their homes, while others stayed back to prepare for the field ministry. I greeted a few friends before heading out.

When I got home, I met my neighbors who had just returned from church as well. The compound was lively with children running around. I took some time to play with the kids. Their laughter is always a mood lifter. I also took a few Sunday pictures with them, and my daughter was very prominent in the photos. She was smiling and full of energy. Those little moments mean a lot to me.

Because I didn’t eat before going to the meeting, I was very hungry by the time I got back. Luckily, my brother’s wife had cooked rice. The meal was so delicious. It was both my breakfast and lunch in one. I ate, rested for a while, and gave thanks.

Later in the afternoon, I realized my phone battery was low. NEPA had not brought power supply all day. So I went to a bet shop nearby to charge my phone. I stayed there for a few hours, chatting with people and catching up on messages while I waited.
In the evening, as I was trekking back home, I was blessed with a beautiful sight. The sky was painted with the colors of a sunset, orange, pink, and gold spreading across the clouds. Since I had my phone with me, I took it out and captured a few shots. It was a perfect way to end the day.

On getting home, I freshened up and got ready for bed. Before sleeping, I sat down and drafted this to share with you. Reflecting on the day made me realize how grateful I am for simple blessings: good health, spiritual nourishment, family, food, and even a beautiful sunset.
