Prove yourself as the best artist for the week; The Crying child
Hello guys, welcome to my blog . This is another entry of mine for another episode of "Prove yourself as the best artist for the week".
For this week, I drew a crying child.
On the 27 of May this year, a date set aside to celebrate children. About 40 children were abducted in Northern Nigeria on thier way to the celebration and match pass. And till date, there's hasn't been a release of those children.
The kidnapers are demanding a gullible amount of money and Sharia law to be implemented in Kano as Ransom.
Imagine Elders in the country gambling with children's lives over nonsense.
Now, this art cries for a release of those children.
First of all, I made a light sketch of the kid's face with a light pen.
This is a black pen art, no pencil. And to cover up mistakes, I use a lighter pen for the sketching..
I sketched also the cap on the head of the kid.

After completing the sketch of the facial features, I started shading.
Using hatching technique.
I also sketch the clothing which wouldn't need shading because this art is meant to portray just the facial expressions of the kid

For the cap, yes, I had to shade it, as it is part of the head for now .
And the give constructive meaning to the art. Not just telling stories. just to show that we know what we're doing her🤧🤣

For the left side of the hair, I used hatching technique because it's lighter than the left which I used cross hatching.
The right side is the side without lighting, so obviously, it has to be dark .
I tried to shade the dimples to on both side of the cheek.
This was my last result.

I wrote my username and that's all for today.
