In my childhood memories, boat races mean a different kind of madness. This festival is held every year on the banks of the Sarishabari River, but this year's excitement was completely different from other times. Because, this time our own boat was participating in this competition. The entire village was in a festive mood, everyone had only one dream in mind—victory.

On the day of the boat race, the sky was cloudy, a light breeze was blowing. We were all busy decorating the boat. Our specially made boat was long and narrow, ideal for running fast on the water. The boat, painted in red and green, looked like a water dream from a distance. The boatmen were all from our village—well-built and experienced. The excitement of victory was in their eyes, some were singing songs, some were joking. Everyone was in a different kind of joy.

My heart was pounding ever since I got on the boat. Fear on one side, intense desire on the other. The sound of the flute immediately seemed to bring the boat back to life. As soon as the boat was pulled together, the boat sped away at full speed. Thousands of people standing on both banks of the river were waving and shouting, encouraging us. Their voices and the Sarigan sung by the boatmen were creating a strange melody together. This was not just a competition, but a reflection of our collective will, morale and tradition.

In the middle of the race, we suddenly fell behind a little. At that moment, it seemed that everything was over. But then we heard the thunderous voice of our leader, the boatman, "Go ahead, just a little longer!" That voice seemed to make our veins run with new blood. We all started pulling the boat even harder in one rhythm. The boat seemed to be floating on the air. The strength and extraordinary coordination of this last moment pushed us all forward.

When we crossed the victory line, the shouts around us were deafening. The joy of the people on the bank was unbridled. It is impossible to express that feeling in words! We not only reached the first semi-final, but it was a huge achievement for all of us. Our boat stood as a symbol of victory, and we felt a deep sense of satisfaction and pride. When we reached the shore at the end of the competition, everyone was congratulating us by putting their hands on our shoulders. There was a smile of joy and pride on their faces.
