Dhaka's Sweet Fire Betel Shop.

I reviewed a business that sells a variety of traditional foods. Most people in Bangladesh are addicted to this food and it has been known as a part of the diet since ancient times. I reviewed a liquor store. Different types of Betel quid are sold here. When they are sold, they are made very tasty by mixing various ingredients. There are over a hundred sweet ingredients with which this Betel quid is made. Which makes it very sweet to eat and people are very interested in eating it. In this shop, you will see many types of ingredients that are used to make this food. Most people in Bangladesh eat this Betel quid. It is known as a popular local profession. The shop I manage is located in Ashulia, Dhaka.

In your community, what is the most common occupation, and why is the occupation important to your community?

There are many types of traditional professions in our area that are very popular and necessary for people. The profession I have mentioned to you today is a very unique and popular profession. A household is run by selling betel quid. This shop is equipped with a variety of ingredients, and the Betel quid made with them is very sweet and popular. If you notice, you will see that many different types of ingredients are placed in different bowls. The name of this delicious food is sweet betel. It has recently become a popular dish in Dhaka, eaten at various events and after large feasts.

What tools or skills are used in the occupation that people in your community do?

In the profession I have presented to you, you can see that sweet betel is being made by combining many types of ingredients. This food is made from a combination of ingredients and sold to people at a very affordable price. It required a variety of materials to make it, at least more than a hundred of which existed here. The shopkeeper mixes the right amount of ingredients into this dish according to the customers' needs. Ingredients will be added here according to the customers' needs. Also, it requires a lot of skill to make. As a very good and skilled shopkeeper, you can see that the sweet betel has been arranged very beautifully. Customers are more attracted to it because of its well-decorated view and various sweet ingredients. Also, the beautiful decoration and preparation of this dish makes anyone eager to eat it.

Tell us the challenges people are facing in this occupation

This profession is very unique and very rare. Importing and storing the materials involved in this business is particularly risky. In particular, there are some addictive substances with which this product is made. Also, the sweet ingredients and other necessary ingredients here are not very widely available. Also, the green love-shaped leaves you see here are very difficult to preserve. Since it cannot be stored for a long time, there are several things to be handled when selling them. They can be stored for a maximum of one week to 15 days, after which they may spoil. Because of this, those engaged in this system or profession have to struggle a bit to cope with them.

Share with us how this occupation supports the local economy and families in your community.

This profession is created in a very unique way and a family is run by selling the materials that are sold here. Although not much is sold here, the shopkeeper or the family may be able to support themselves by selling the products that are sold. Of all the products sold here, the highest priced product is only 50 taka. In addition, many other products are sold here, priced from 10 taka to 50 taka. A family is supported by the amount of sweet betel sold daily. There are many other professions through which people earn their living and through which they conduct a praise. In addition, these materials are sold separately, which are measured and sold at a fixed price.

Review:
Traders contribute to the economy of a community through paying levies and taxes, and in rural areas, many people are into such a type of business. Your entry would have been more unique if the majority of your photos captured the activities of the business owners and customers and not goods.
