When Kalam Mia was 12 years old, he joined the business with his father. Kalam Mia's father taught him all the rules and regulations of making sweets. Since then, his long-term business has made him a seasoned businessman. And he has been running his shop on the side of the road in Shahibazar for a long time.
Kalam Mia's sweet shop does not have a signboard, but the shop is very familiar to the people of the area; some call it Kalam Mia's sweet's shop, some call it Kalam Mama's shop.

When you go in front of the shop, you can see it spread on a big table. Various types of sweets are arranged on the table. Some have sweet namki, some have salty namki, and some have gaja sweets. It is made in two ways. Some goja sweets are made with sugar, and some goja sweets are made with jaggery. Salty gaja is also available here.

In addition, there are various items, including Piaju beguni. The shop is open to everyone from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm every day. The shop has 7 employees. 2 of them are busy making sweet kabar, and two are busy decorating the shop. The rest are busy selling products to customers.

Even though the shop is on the side of the road, the quality of the food here is quite good. Kalam Mia tries to keep the place as clean as possible. Then, since the shop is on the side of the road, there is some dust and sand.
All the items in the shop are prepared in front of the shop using LP gas. Since the food is prepared in front of everyone, there is less chance of the food getting stale or spoiled.

The shop does not have its own electricity line. After the evening, the shop is lit by taking a line from another shop. That is why the electric bill is paid based on the number of lights.
All the products in the shop are sold in cash; there is no online payment facility here.
