Hello my Steemit family, how are you all doing. I remain@globaltutor001. Today I want to share with you how we get water in my area.

I wakeup very early in the morning around 5:30am. The first thing I do is pray. After that I check if we have water in the house. Most times we don't have so we must go to borehole.

By 6:30am I am already going to borehole with my bucket. The road is busy in the morning. People are carrying gallon, bucket and drum. Some people use wheelbarrow. Everybody is rushing to get water early.

When I reach the borehole the place is full. You can see women, men and children. Everybody is on queue. Some people will be talking and laughing while waiting. The water is very cold. We use it for cooking, drinking, bathing and washing.

Sometimes the queue is too much. You can wait for 30 minutes. Sometimes the borehole will spoil and we will go to another street to fetch. During dry season the water is coming small but during rain it is plenty.

For me fetching water is part of life here in Nigeria. We don't have tap water that runs every time. So we manage like that. Children also learn to fetch water so that they can help their parents. We help each other in the queue.

In the evening around 6pm I return home. I am usually tired but I feel happy because we have water to cook and bath. After resting I eat and spend time with my family.

Steemit is new to me and I am happy to share my real life here. I don’t have big things to show, but I have my story and my daily life. Thank you for reading my post.

God bless you all.
