The Diary Game: Sunday Service, Drum, Snooker and Dinner [14/06/2026]

Happy sunday guys and greetings to everyone here on steemit and welcome to another diary game with @kingfavourite77. I want to be sharing on how my day went today which is sunday.

Sunday started early today. Woke up around 6am, ironed my shirt real quick and rushed out. Lagos bus was slow as usual, so I almost missed praise and worship. But I made it. The service was good. After worship I went straight to the drum set because today was my turn. Honestly my hands were shaking a bit at first. I missed the kick drum like twice before I found the beat , But once I lock in, it just feels peaceful. Drumming for God does something to me, I can’t even explain.

Pastor was talking about Grace today. He kept saying it’s not something you work for. Like, you can’t earn it by coming early to church or being “holy”. It’s just God’s gift, free. That one touched me because I’ve been overthinking a lot this week. Choir sang well too, everybody was shouting Amen. Made the whole place lively.

He also said something like “because of Grace, we shouldn’t panic too much about tomorrow”. God already sees ahead. Me I just dey write that one down for my heart. Later when Gideon and I were gisting, he even said “if Grace dey, then why we dey worry?” And I just laughed. Made sense though.

After church we went to play snooker near my street. That small spot with the noisy fan 😂 I’m not good at it at all, but it’s fun. Gideon was killing everybody. He’ll call “corner pocket” and the ball will just enter. I only won one game out of like 5 or 6. But we were just laughing and talking rubbish. No serious fight or anything. Just boys being boys.

Got home around 8pm, tired. My mom already made Sunday rice and stew. After drumming and standing the whole day, that food hit different. I ate twice before I noticed. Drank cold water, burped, then just lay down on my bed.
