The Diary Game: (13/06/26) Helping Out At My neighbor's Pineapple Plantation and the Rest Of My Day
Hi guys good day and welcome to another episode of my diary game with mjeelifestyle, how was your day y'all? Mine was amazing and I spent it learning something new which I'm about to tell you guys.
Those who have been following up on my blogs will know that I live in a cool neighborhood here in Abuja where I get to mingle enough. And yeah today I followed one of my neighbors to his farm at the outskirt of Abuja Kubwa axis precisely. According to him, he got this plot of land few years back but since he is not ready to build on it, he decided to utilize it by cultivating on it.
So I woke up early by 5.40 to get ready to join his family, I didn't want to go hungry because I didn't know when we would return so I had pap just so that I will have strength.
We boarded his car, and we were five in number which included me, his two sons, his daughter and he himself. We got to Kubwa by few minutes to seven and I was blown by how large the plantation was. He had brought some pineapple stems he wanted to plant and our own duty was to weed around the other pineapples that were growing. Yes it was so much fun because we were gisting and laughing in the process and lost track of time. Good thing was that the weather was also really chill because it rained at midnight but I don't know how heavy it was or how long it rained since I was deeply asleep and only got up to shut my window.
We worked for hours, drank water to stay hydrated and ate some pineapples too which was super juicy. Some part of the plot he planted other things like cassava, potatoes and he mentioned beans when it is it's season etc. But today he came to attend to only the pineapples and he harvested some which he usually sell at lower rates to the local market vendors/bush market vendors and keeps some for family consumption. By 1pm or thereabouts we were done and set to head home. And yeah I got some pineapples for myself for the assistance even tho I didn't do much I was more of a spectator and was busy taking pictures and asking questions hahaha.
The ride back home took like one hour thirty minutes or so because there was a bit of traffic, but we got home by past 2pm. I was super exhausted and famished, I'd worked out the pap I took. I quickly had my bath and like 40 minutes after I came out of the bathroom there was a knock on the door. My neighbor's daughter came bearing food and I was grateful because I was even thinking of where I would have strength to cook and I didn't have any already made food in the refrigerator. I wonder how she quickly put that together because we had just literally returned from the farm, I told her thank you and quickly went ahead to devour the food and trust me it was really delicious, it was native rice with orishirishi inside.
I missed some calls while I was at the farm, my sister's inclusive so I had to return the calls and some turn out to be loan sharks urging me to borrow money, so annoying.
I napped for a while and when I woke up it was already past 5pm, I was laid in bed chilling because I was just feeling very lazy.
By 7pm I was hungry but didn't feel like cooking still, so I got groundnut from the store in front of the house and had our premium life saver GARRI, that served as my dinner I'll cook tomorrow I promise 🥹😂.
And here am I updating y'all how my day went before I'll go to bed, hope y'all had an amazing day? And did you enjoy my blog? See you in my next one and bye.....
