I am so much amazed to participate in this contest of the weekly engagement challenge of season 31, week 2, where the organizer gives us an opportunity to pin various locations to Steem-Atlas map for easy discovery. Here is my discussion concerning the above topic:

What kind of Offbeat Landmarks have you visited? Briefly introduce yourself.

The offbeat landmarks that I visited are one of the famous mosques that are well known in the city, and the name is called Alh Nurudeen Adebayo Sanni Memorial Mosque. It is located along Adeta Road in Ilorin. This mosque is portable and well known, with structures standing erect in a good place. Although this was my first time visiting this masjid, believe me, it has everything to the extent that every Muslim is welcome to pray in this mosque, no matter the tribe you belong to.

It is a famous mosque that is very easy to locate in the heart of the city of Ilorin Emirate; even if you mention the name of the area to the citizens, they would easily direct you by pointing their finger to the place.

How were the activities, services and facilities at this place? (With pictures + prices, videos)

The main activity that usually goes on in this mosque is worshiping our Creator, which is five times daily. The Adhan is called to signify that it's time for prayer, followed by the Iqamah. Today, I prayed the Asri prayer in congregation. In fact, the place is neat, and there is availability of toilet facilities.

'Its first mosque that has a toilet where you can make use of it to pass out the excreta, as well as the availability of a running water system to perform ablution, which is one of the major things to purify ourselves. Speakers are inside and outside the mosque so that people from a far distance can hear the call to prayer. The electricity can be seen, connected to the ceiling fan in order to enjoy fresh air.

What did you learn about the history of that place?

The mosque was built more than five years ago by one of the philanthropists in order to earn rewards from Almighty Allah. In fact, it has been renovated, with the walls painted in beautiful colours so that it looks amazing and indicates that this masjid is a place of worship and nothing else.

Every time I pass through this area, I appreciate this beautiful mosque because it is a place of worship where a written description may be displayed in honor of that person, so that such a person may earn rewards in the afterlife. This mosque is in the center and can accommodate more than twenty worshipers inside and outside.'

Share your experiences of that place as a Curious Explorer.

My experience of this special place called a masjid is amazing, in fact, being the first time curious explorer. The colours painted on the mosque specifically green and white are fascinating, especially the white, which signifies that the religion of Islam is peaceful; it doesn't allow violence with other religions. Its appearance is portable, and the design is simple, which I consider as one of the finest mosques to worship our Creator. As I mentioned earlier, their toilet is very clean, and sitting arrangements can be found in the ablution area so that we can sit comfortably.
