Pregnancy and outdoor activities. Is it possible to combine them, or do you have to lie on the couch for 9 months?
Hi everybody. What's up? Today is a beautiful day off, it's warm, but it's cloudy. I really love summer, especially when my vacation falls during this time of year. This is a rare occurrence for me, but I'm lucky this year. Additionally, my employers were forced to grant me a leave before my maternity leave. Otherwise, I would have been sent back to work as usual during the winter.
I don't subscribe to the idea that pregnant women shouldn't swim in the sea. In fact, I advocate an active lifestyle and believe that pregnancy is not a disease. Therefore, I enjoyed spending today's day off at the water park. Naturally, everything was within reason. Moreover, the lifeguards on the slides ensured safety.
I really love swimming, and I go to the pool twice a week. It relaxes me. Plus, it's an extra workout for my body, as I don't have access to a gym yet. Once my baby is born, I'll return to my regular exercise routine. However, even in the pool, I often hear women say that swimming during pregnancy is strictly prohibited. But even doctors have different opinions on this matter.
Many passengers on the plane were also surprised when they saw me with a baby bump on board. However, if your pregnancy is progressing normally, you are allowed to fly. I even had a doctor's note stating that I had no contraindications for flying. However, no one asked for this note when I boarded the plane. Therefore, I am not the only one who flies during pregnancy.
In general, I want to say that even during pregnancy, you shouldn't completely limit yourself to active activities and sports. This will only be beneficial for your body. Additionally, taking time off has a positive impact, as you can experience positive emotions during your travels. However, staying on the couch throughout your pregnancy will not yield any positive results.![]()
