Dear Steemian friends!
I hope you are all well. Today I am very happy to participate in the Steem Expedición, Joyas Ocultas y Secretos Locales: Mi mejor recomendación challenge. My sincere gratitude and thanks to @oswaldocuarta bhai for this wonderful organization. This theme of Season 31, W-6 has touched my heart especially because today I am taking you to a place that is not only a tourist attraction, but also a living symbol of an unforgettable history of our new Bangladesh. Today's destination is the newly built historical monument 'Mukti Toron' located in Agargaon, Dhaka.

The 'Mukti Toron' sculpture and memorial square is located at an important intersection in Agargaon, Dhaka, near the Election Commission and IDB Building. The four roads of this intersection lead to Mirpur, Farmgate and Prime Minister's Office, Mohakhali and Shyamoli respectively. The place is surrounded by various important government offices, hospitals and the China-Friendship Conference Center, due to which lakhs of people travel here every day. This place can be reached very easily from any part of Dhaka by taking the Agargaon Station of the Metrorail or by bus, rickshaw, auto-rickshaw and CNG.

This sculpture, built on the main road of Agargaon, is essentially a timeless memorial to the historic student uprising and anti-discrimination movement of August 5, 2024. This was the first bloody and successful fight of the general public against any government after the independence of Bangladesh. The structure of this arch or sculpture is very neat and made of beautiful brickwork and artistic craftsmanship, which catches the eyes of passers-by from afar. It is an open public place, so there is no entry fee or ticket required to visit it. It can be visited completely free of charge 24 hours a day. No commercial products are sold here, but the environment around it is very elegant and orderly. The only rule for visitors is to maintain the cleanliness of this sacred monument and not to throw any dirt on the walls.

My home is in Uttara, Dhaka. Whenever I come to the Agargaon area or pass by it, I want to stop in front of this arch. At that moment, a strange feeling of love and deep emotion fills my heart. This arch constantly reminds me of the heroism that the common people and students showed during those bloody days of the July 2024 uprising. In the afternoon and evening, there is a very lively atmosphere here. Local people come, sit, talk and enjoy the beauty of this historical architecture. This wonderful initiative by the authorities has undoubtedly increased the beauty and historical importance of the area many times over. Although this arch looks like brick and stone, each layer of it has an immortal message for future generations: Live with your head held high, fight against injustice.

The symbol of next-generation.

¿Por qué, entre tantos lugares, este es el que elegiste como tu mejor recomendación?

There are many beautiful parks in Dhaka, modern restaurants, and shiny shopping malls, but none of these have seemed as significant to me as the 'Mukti Toran'. Because it is not just a brick and stone structure, it is a living history of the sacrifice of our new generation. After independence, this was the first such big and direct victory of the common people against their own ruler on the soil of this country a victory that was written in blood. This sculpture standing in the heart of Agargaon is therefore a symbol of our national self-esteem. As a conscious citizen and a curious explorer, I firmly believe that this place is my best recommendation than any other entertainment center in the city. Because seeing this sculpture will awaken the curiosity to know and understand in the minds of every future generation and that curiosity will one day make them conscious, brave and patriotic people.

¿Cuál es el momento o la hora perfecta para visitarlo y qué vibra se siente en ese instante?

In my opinion, the most perfect time to visit this Mukti Toran is from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. At this time, when the sunlight softens and the artificial lights around the toran are lit, a very calm and solemn atmosphere is created in the entire premises. The light cool breeze, the gentle chatter of people and the aesthetic lighting of the memorial all combine to create a positive vibe or energy that touches the mind. And at the entrance to the street, various temporary food vans are set up to create public relations, which run until 10 PM.

Si tuvieras que cambiar algo de este lugar, ¿qué sería y por qué?

If I could change or add anything, I would have installed a small "digital information display or plaque" right next to this gate. Where the brief history of the movement and the names of the brave martyrs would be written beautifully. The reason for this is so that when many foreign tourists or future generations come here, they should not just turn away by seeing the beauty, but rather they should easily understand the main history and significance behind it. Without anyone's help.

Si tuvieras que invitar a alguien de tu familia o a algún Steemian a conocer este lugar, ¿a quién llevarías y qué razones le darías para convencerlo de ir?

I have already visited this historical place with my family members and showed them the significance and importance of this arch from close up. I am personally very happy and proud to have the opportunity to share this glorious matter in our Steemian community. Because through this, everyone in our local community can know in detail about every content and history behind this monument. Now I wish that if any of my foreign Steemian friends express interest in seeing the sculpture through this post of mine and contact me, I will warmly invite them. To convince them, I would say with deep emotion and conviction "Come on, friends, today I will show you a historical arch that has shown us a new way to live freely. Where the bravery, selfless sacrifice and heroic history of our brave brothers are intertwined." I am 100% sure that after learning about this glorious history of the new Bangladesh, any freedom-loving person will be eager to come here and will bow their heads in gratitude to all the martyrs of our country.
