Some time ago, my beloved family and I took a trip out of town. I drove my personal vehicle to the provincial capital to enjoy a brief getaway during the school holidays. Any journey especially one taken in a private vehicle naturally requires a supply of fuel. Public fuel stations are official facilities established to distribute and sell fuel to the public for various types of motor vehicles.
As someone who relies on a private vehicle daily to commute to work and attend to other needs, I visit a station at least once a week to refuel the car that faithfully accompanies me. The widespread availability of these stations makes things convenient for customers; generally, they are situated in highly strategic locations along national highways.
This makes it very easy for drivers whether of two wheeled, four wheeled, or larger vehicles to locate a fuel station. With prices officially set by the government, these stations are a primary destination for motorists. A few weeks ago, while heading to the city of Lhokseumawe, I stopped at one of these stations just as I did on that late morning to refuel my car. When I arrived at the gas station, there were not many customers present only a few cars and motorcycles were queuing for fuel. This was unusual, as the station is typically packed with vehicles especially cars forming long lines to refuel.
This station experiences high activity levels and is one of the largest in Pidie Jaya Regency. Known as SPBU Ulee Gle, it bears the identification code 14.241.413. This code corresponds to the permit issued by Pertamina the state owned oil and gas company and the station's own operational license.
Fuel prices at this station are consistent with rates across the rest of Indonesia, as Pertamina and the Indonesian government enforce a unified pricing policy nationwide. Any price variations that do exist are simply due to regional differences.
