Mango Fair, when I hear the name, the image of juicy, sweet, and fragrant mangoes of various varieties comes to my mind. A lot of mangoes are produced in different regions of our country. Every year, different varieties of mangoes are brought from those mango-producing regions to the capital, Dhaka, and the fair is organized. This time, I am very happy to have the opportunity to go to the mango fair. So I want to share my travel experience with everyone today. The fair is held in the Dhanmondi area of the capital, Dhaka, for three months every year. Numerous people buy different varieties of mangoes here on their way to and from. I have shown the location of the fair below through the Steem-atlas pin code.

Traditional Mango Fair

Yesterday afternoon, my friend and I went to the mango fair held in the upscale area of Dhanmondi, Dhaka. As soon as we reached the fair, we could smell the sweet aroma of mangoes all around us. After entering, we saw rows of stalls. Each stall had different varieties of fresh mangoes. Some stalls had big mangoes, while others had small and beautiful mangoes. Overall, the atmosphere of the fair was quite lively. Each mango stall had a name and price.

At the fair, I saw the famous mangoes from different regions of Bangladesh. Various varieties of mangoes, including Gopalbhog, Langra, Himsagar, Amrapali, Fazli, and Khirsapat from Rajshahi, were available there. Some stalls also had mangoes, pickles, and various foods made from mangoes. The sellers had arranged the mangoes very beautifully. Buyers were also busy buying their favorite mangoes. You can see the mango fair in the pictures and videos I shared.

I enjoyed tasting different varieties of mangoes the most. Each variety of mango has a different taste. Some are very sweet, some are a little stringy, and some are very fragrant and juicy. I bought a few mangoes and ate them with my family. The joy of eating mangoes at the fair with my friends has been one of the most memorable moments of the trip for me. Besides, seeing different varieties of mangoes was the most fascinating thing for me.

Not only did I get to buy and sell mangoes at the fair, but I also learned a lot about the diversity of agriculture and mango cultivation in Bangladesh. My respect for farmers from different districts of the country grew as I realized how hard they work to produce mangoes. Such fairs allow farmers to showcase their produce directly to buyers. Although the price of mangoes was a bit high, they were formalin-free.

Finally, after buying some mangoes, we set off for home. On the way back, it seemed that going to the mango fair is not just about shopping or sightseeing; it is also a great opportunity to get acquainted with the agriculture, traditions, and diverse fruits of our country. The joyful time spent with friends and the experience of various flavors of mangoes will remain in my mind for a long time. If I get the chance, I would like to go to the mango fair again.

Review:
Mango fair is actually a festival, tradition, celebration, or just a community market that is specifically for mangoes. In Nigeria, the mango season has passed, so there are no mangoes on the trees, and I know of a mango market in the Abuja area. The place you have shared looks busy.

What a delightful and informative post about the Traditional Mango Fair! 🥭🌿 I really enjoyed going through your experience and learning about the different varieties of mangoes available in Bangladesh. The way you described the lively atmosphere, beautiful stalls, sweet aroma, and different flavors made me feel as if I were walking through the fair with you.

I especially liked how you connected the mango fair with the hard work of farmers and the agricultural heritage of your country. It is wonderful to see a tradition that brings families and friends together while also giving farmers an opportunity to showcase their produce. The variety of mangoes such as Himsagar, Langra, Gopalbhog, Amrapali, and Fazli sounds truly tempting! 🥭😋

Your photographs also add a lovely personal touch to the post and make the whole experience more enjoyable to read. I agree that such fairs are not simply about buying fruit—they are also about culture, community, local agriculture, and creating happy memories with loved ones.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience. I would definitely love to visit a traditional mango fair someday and taste these different varieties myself. Wishing you many more enjoyable and memorable cultural experiences! 🌸🥭✨
