Today's theme is "SLC33-W2: My Community, My Story – My Culture Food Stall". My sincere thanks to @josepha Sir for organizing this wonderful competition. Food is not just a means of satisfying our hunger; it is a beautiful reflection of our heritage, culture and lifestyle. Today I am going to share my experience with a famous and delicious fast food and juice corner in our Narayanganj's Jalkuri 10 Pipe area. I hope you all will like the article. So let's get started.

The name of the very popular shop in our Narayanganj Jalkuri area is “M. R Food Corner & M.R Juice Corner”. This is one of the most well-known fast food joints in our local Narayanganj community. Every afternoon and evening, this place becomes bustling with the walking of local people and pedestrians, which paints a familiar and vibrant picture of our local community.

​Location of the shop place: This 'Jalkuri 10 Pipes' shop place is located in the heart of Siddhirganj thana in our Narayanganj district. It is quite easy to find the place as it is located very close to the link road of Dhaka-Narayanganj.

How to get there:

• From Dhaka: If you want to come from Dhaka, you can easily take a local bus or CNG from the signboard or Chittagong Road to Jalkuri Bus Stand intersection. Then from there, you can easily hire a rickshaw or auto-rickshaw and reach your destination '10 Pipe'.

• ​From Narayanganj city: You can take an auto or rickshaw directly from Chashara or Shibu Market area of ​​our Narayanganj city to Jalkuri 10 Pipe. The road here is quite wide and there is always plenty of transport available for travel.

• Private vehicle: If you have your own car or motorcycle, you can easily reach the place very close by taking the Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road. Since the road environment is good, traveling by private vehicle is quite comfortable. Even if you don't know the place, you can find it by opening Google Maps on your phone and typing Jalkuri 10 Pipes in the search. And by looking at this location, you can easily reach here.

Our Narayanganj Jalkuri 10 Pipe place has become very familiar to the local residents in a short time. And various types of shops have been established around this place. We come here every Friday afternoon, and sometimes even after work in the office, we come here in the evening to hang out with friends. But especially M.R Food Corner & M.R Juice Corner, we hang out with friends and older brothers on the rooftop of the shop. And it becomes very difficult for us to control the temptation of the delicious food here.

From the vast selection of fast food and juices of this well-known shop, we have some special favorites, which we eat regularly while hanging out here. Among the items here, I like their special delicious fuchka the most, which has delicious fried rice and egg noodles spread on its crunchy coating, and is served with that mouth-watering sour-salty tamarind water. But besides the phuchka, we also like their crispy fried chicken, hot and steaming momos and golden French fries. There is no comparison to their special cold lachi or various fruit juices to relieve fatigue in the middle of a chat with your elder brother and friends or on a hot day. To be honest, these delicious dishes here instantly relieve the fatigue of our daily lives and bring a different kind of peace.

In our Bengali culture, family, relatives and friends are always deeply intertwined with each other, having fun and eating. After a busy day, people flock to various street food and fast food shops, especially in the afternoon or evening, to take a breath of relief and relieve mental fatigue. And the most important thing is that in all these street food and fast food shops, hot and delicious food is available at a very affordable price and a suitable environment is created for chatting with family, relatives and friends. But especially their signature fuchka, crispy fried chicken and cold juice or lasci must not be neglected. Some of their ingredients, taste, and preparation method are highlighted below:

• Ingredients: To make especially delicious fuchka, semolina, flour, beaten egg, fried rice, potatoes, chickpeas and a special sour water made from tamarind, green chili and bit salt is used. In addition, to make fried chicken, fresh chicken, cornflour, flour and their own secret spices are used. And in the case of juice or lasci, pure liquid milk, sour curd, fresh fruit, ice and sugar in moderation are given.

• Food Taste: Especially when you put the fuchka here in your mouth, there is a great crunchy feeling and a wonderful explosion of sour-salty taste. On the other hand, the fried chicken is very crunchy from the outside, but the inside is quite juicy and soft. Also, more juice or lasci gives us a refreshing taste that fills our whole body.

• Food Preparation Method: First, in making fuchka, first the fuchka is fried like a crispy luchi and filled with potato-chickpea filling, then fried jhuribhaja and chopped egg are spread on top and served to the customers with sour water. Secondly, in making fried chicken, the chicken pieces are first marinated in special spices, then fried in hot oil at the right temperature. And thirdly, as soon as the customers' juice order is received, it is freshly blended and served.

And the behavior of the sellers and employees here is very friendly, smiling and they handle every order of the customers very quickly and with great care. However, especially in the evening, the colorful lights in and around the shop, the presence of people and the aroma of cooking give the whole environment a very festive look. In addition to sitting in the shop and chatting and eating food, this shop also has a great system for customers to get their parcels quickly, which satisfies the customers quite a lot.

After a busy day, stepping into the familiar atmosphere of Jalkuri 10 Pipe More in Narayanganj with my elder brother and friends in the cool evening air, my heart is filled with joy. We have a deep love for this familiar hangout place of our area and the delicious food here. But especially, in the afternoon, I can never control the temptation to taste the sour-spicy fuchka or crispy fried chicken here. The smiling welcome of the seller of this shop and the lively atmosphere around me remove all my fatigue and bring a different kind of peace. I am really happy to share this little story of mine with you, focusing on this wonderful food stall in my own area.
