From Fatigue to Focus: How Gyming Improved My Life
Greetings to you my steemit friends. The name is Precious, I'm new here and excited to start my journey.
Glad to meet you all.
How Gyming Improved My Life
It was a random Tuesday and as usual I was feeling so tired. Literally bags in my eyes it felt as if I didn't sleep at all.
Now back to the same routine it's usually like this:
- Clean my room before classes
- Read a book
- Craft out a blog
- Drive to class
But on this random Tuesday my legs felt so heavy it's like I couldn't even walk. Even my hands were too tired to walk. Till I remembered what my coach had always advised us back in high school.
"A healthy body is a healthy mind." I decided you know what its been a while maybe let me try to go just for an hour. Maybe it could help. I filled up my water bottle and headed for the streets.
I started with jogging. At first I was very slow and with each step every inch of my body was hurting. I was ready to give up, but I stayed on my mission. I had told myself I'm gonna do this right? So I'll have to do it. I kept watching the time. Why did it feel as if time was not moving like it was moving so slow or was it me not making progress?
I shut my eyes and took a deep breath. It was time to be serious now for real. This is when the real fun started.
The first few changes
I think it was past 30 minutes now, and I was literally running. I didn't even notice. Man, I was so carried away. My brain felt much lighter, my legs could go a bit high in the air, and I just felt so determined. I was loving this so much all that stress I felt earlier it's like it was slowly lifting off.
It was now late and I quickly drove to school I was 15 minutes late. But you know what? It was all worth it. For the first time in weeks I could actually concentrate without continuously complaining to my friends on how tired I was. I think they noticed the change too. My eyes were so bright I was glowing. I was even moving faster.
You know it's usually a trend in uni to complain on how tired we are, and how we could just go back home and sleep. But I've never felt this good. And if this is the case, then I think I'm gonna gym more often.
Gym tracker
I reached home that day. Guess what was the first thing I did? I got my tukkies on, filled up my bottle and went for a run. For like 2hrs this time. It felt so good. I was motivated this time, no more lazing around. I didn't just want to run and exercise only when I felt like just like before in the past months. This time I went onto playstore and looked for a gym tracker app.
It came with all different exercises and you could actually plan your own time. Whether daily you wanna do 2hrs, and how many pounds you wanna lose. What I liked especially unlike just random exercise/gyming apps you could actually customize literally everything. You could:
- Note down your weight
- You can even choose what exactly you wanna focus on let's say on muscles, belly fat, upper limbs etc.
- You can set your hours
- Set up your exercises
- Then set up a reminder
I don't know about you, but this is so much easier and more effective. Instead of following plans you can actually create your own according to the time that suits you best.
From there on I felt:
- Less fatigue
- More relaxed
- Better sleep
- Last but not least, and this will shock you. But yes friends, also less anxiety
Dear friends, gyming didn't just improve my body, it changed my mindset. Maybe it can do the same for you.
