Gopalpur Shalban is a beautiful natural forest in the northern region of Bangladesh, located in Gopalpur village, Khoragach union, Mithapukur upazila, Rangpur district, Bangladesh. Due to the peaceful environment surrounded by greenery, rows of tall Shalban trees, and clean air, it has gradually become a popular destination for nature lovers, travelers, and local visitors. If you want to spend some time in a quiet environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Gopalpur Shalban can be an excellent choice. The forest takes on different forms at different times of the year.

During the rainy season, the surroundings become greener and fresher, the weather is comfortable in winter, and in spring, the forest seems to come alive with new leaves.Gopalpur Shalban is located in Gopalpur village, Khoragach union, Mithapukur upazila, Rangpur district. It can be easily reached by road from Rangpur city or Mithapukur upazila headquarters. It is possible to travel using personal motorcycles, private cars, auto rickshaws, or local transport.

The rural villages, green paddy fields and peaceful environment along the way add to the joy of the journey. Those who will be coming here for the first time will easily find the entrance to the forest by taking directions from the locals.As soon as you enter the forest, you feel like you have entered a different world. The rows of tall sal trees overhead, the path covered in dry leaves below, and the sweet calls of birds all around instantly soothe your mind. The gentle sound of the sal leaves in the light breeze creates a wonderful melody of nature.

This scene becomes even more enchanting in the golden light of the morning or afternoon. Being so close to nature and standing silently for a while, the fatigue goes away from your mind.My experience of visiting Gopalpur Shalban was very pleasant and memorable. I felt the peaceful beauty of nature every moment while walking inside the forest. The chirping of birds, cool breeze and the abundance of greenery gave a different kind of peace to the mind.

Gopalpur Shalban is in a pretty good condition in terms of cleanliness. Due to the awareness of the local people and visitors, the forest is very clean. It is safe to travel during the day. Although it is not a big tourist destination, the necessary local facilities are available nearby. If you are planning to stay for a long time, it is good to keep clean water, light food and necessary medicines with you.

Here you can sit and talk in a quiet environment, enjoy the beauty of nature, take a walk and capture some memorable moments. It is also a beautiful place to introduce children to nature, but you should always keep an eye on them.

While traveling, you must give importance to nature conservation. You should not throw any kind of garbage in the forest and refrain from breaking tree branches or damaging the natural environment. It is safe to wear comfortable shoes, carry the necessary water with you, wear light clothes and end the trip before dusk.
