Have you ever wondered why your life is not changing? Why some things in your life are not working yet? Why you think you are doing so much and not getting the required results?
Then this post is for you. When you keep doing the same thing over and over and nothing to show for it then it's time to pause, take a deep breath and have a life check. It's time for a change.
It's time to change some habits in your life. You can't keep doing the same thing, the same way and expect a different result from what you got previously. Change your habit and it fixes everything!

Habits comes from what we do daily either consciously or unconsciously. Habits fuels our life. Habits can be something we were born with or things we leant as we kept growing.
For instance twice I have caught myself talking to myself while working online. This is something I usually don't do, so how did I start doing it? Then I remembered I visited someone for two days and that person has that habit. I didn't start doing what I saw from that pass almost immediately, I just noticed I started doing it.
This simply means we can learn habits consciously so be careful the with the kinds of people you stay around.
Habits forms our characters in life, so when you say someone has a bad character, it simply means he or she has formed bad habits over time that has progressed into character development.

From my opinion there are two types of Habits
- Good Habits
Good Habits are those habits that are pleasing, this habits increases our worth and puts us ahead of others.
Good habits are simply habit you can recommend to people to imbibe in their daily lives. Examples of such habits are washing your hands frequently especially when you come home, drinking of water, habit of sleeping when necessary, habit of prayers, habit of closing your mouth while yawning, habit of exercising, habits of positive talking. There are many more.
- Bad Habits
These are habits are may not be good, they are displeasing. These habit may be repulsive and make people feel bad about you.
Examples of such habits are; been arrogant, chewing your nails, eating too much, been loud, improper dressing, dragging your feet while walking, habit of lateness, sleeping too much, keeping your surroundings dirty, snacking a lot, worrying too much, negative talks, habits of been on the phone for too long , not been intentional and many others.

I don't believe that no habit can be changed. I believe you can change that habit you don't like. Do you know that your habit can keep you defeated in life? That's why you need to change.
To change your habit you must first recognize something is wrong with that habit. You must know that it's not good for you, else you won't change no matter what people are saying about it. Once I developed a habit of not sleeping at all, I would stay up all night working and doing so many stuff down to watching movies. Then when it's day I begin to struggle to do things am meant to do.
I decided I was going to make a turn when someone talked to me about it, I saw it was true and I was intentional to change. And it worked.
The second step to change your habit is intentionality. You must be intentional to cause a change in your life. You must observe all that needs to be observed about that habit, what triggers it, when do I do it and how do I stop it. That's intentionality.
Start doing the opposite of that habit, this is the next step to change. If you talk to much and you want to stop then whenever you catch your self talking, just pause because this time you are now been intentional. Catch your breath, drink water if need be and swallow back what you wanted to say. Keep quiet,Yes it works. Start doing opposite of your habits.

- Integrity
Integrity in this time and age is very scarce. Integrity is a character quality but it begins from a habit of been truthful or honest. Habits graduates into character development.
Integrity made me stand out, integrity shows even in the way I handle responsibility given to me. Don't be that person that is not trusted! Integrity makes people trust you more.
- Self Motivated
This is another strong habit I developed especially in recent times. I started developing the habit of self motivation in 2019. You can imagine how long that is right? Self Motivation is also a character of been driven by your personal conviction that comes from within.
Don't wait for people to motivate you before you can get on with life. Self Motivation helps you stay afloat with everything going on, it pushes you when others are giving up, it keeps you going until you get to your destination.
- Taking the lead and always going the extra mile
Oh yes you heard me. Today many young people run away from responsibilities. Once it's work they run! No one wants to be under any form of pressure but guess what? I was told that pressure produces power! Taking the lead and going the extra mile doesn't just make you more responsible but also guarantees leadership.
People will naturally look up to you when you start taking the lead and going the extra mile. This habit produces the character of persistence.
- Spend less and make do with what you have
The habit of spending less teaches you savings. When you spend less you save more. I don't know if I leant this habit or I was born with it. Because my mum has them is habit too so maybe I was born with it. I can manage your resources and money. You can call me a good manager.
Learn to make do with what you have, you must not have every latest fashion that is out in the market. You must not be that trending babe for her looks. Be yourself, save more and invest for your future.
- Daily Prayers
I know you are not expecting to see this here right? But guess what this is the most powerful habit that has transformed and changed my life. Someone said if you want to change your world you must first do it on your kneels.
The habit of prayers can not be over flogged for me. It's something I even do on consciously as I go about my duties daily. I pray in the morning and within the day. I pray by 12 midnight, 12 pm, 6am, and in-between the day as I work. You can hear me say the word under my breath; Lord help me or you hear the word have mercy on me. These are words of prayers. I pray on the go.
Life is spiritual and you must know this for a fact, That the spiritual world controls the physical. For everything tangible thing you see, there is an intangible explanation to it.
These are the 5 Habits that has changed my life.
