SLC31-W1 // Steem Expedition, Hidden Gems and Local Secrets: My Secret Shelter
Hello dear friends, how are you all? I hope everyone is well by the grace of Allah. I am also very well by the grace of Allah. Today I am here with a post about participating in a competition. The contest hosted by @oswaldocuarta in the fourth week of Steemit Challenge Season 31 is SLC-S31/W1 | Steem Expedition, Hidden Gems and Local Secrets : My Secret Refuge. I am ready to participate in this competition with pleasure. Let's get started.
July Square |
|---|
I visited the July Memorial Square. July Memorial Square is located in Gazipur district of Bangladesh. It is located on Shipbari Road in the Joydepur area of Gazipur district. It was established either through the overthrow of a fascist government or through a coup d'état. Essentially, this is a second sense of independence for Bangladesh. This July Memorial Square was built in 2025, amidst the fall of the authoritarian government. It was installed on Shipbari Road in 2025. There are at least 100 July Memorial Squares in Bangladesh.
Words of sacrifice |
|---|
It is always open to the public. People come here, sit, and enjoy themselves freely. Because it is an establishment that provides an opportunity for everyone to enjoy it for free. This pillar has various militant messages written on it, which created a wave of protest in the minds of Bangladeshis against the authoritarian government during the July Uprising. The entire pillar is inscribed with various descriptions of July's memories. This is the July Memorial Square which is our source of inspiration. Entry is free for everyone, as it is open to the public.
| How did you discover this place, and what's the first thing you do when you arrive? |
|---|
July 36th, i.e. August 5th |
|---|
This place is very beautiful. This July, a memorial square has been set up in a square in the middle of the road. This tall memorial square minaret can be seen while walking on the road, in a safe place. I found this place from July memories. This July Memorial Square is built on the road, which is why whenever I go to Joydevpur city, I find this July Square, full of memories. Anyway, after coming here, my feelings are awakened, because the feelings and its story attract me more. This square reminds us that Bangladesh was liberated from dictatorship, which was made possible through the July Uprising. I captured the memorable moments of July as soon as I arrived here. Because it was one of the establishments to commemorate July.
| What sounds or aromas define this refuge? |
|---|
I come back here for the smell of words or any captivating moment. Here I find the sacrifice of those who were martyred during the July Uprising. Here I get a taste of enjoying elegant moments, which is the taste of freedom. I come back here and get a sense of the moment when we were able to overthrow a dictatorship. This place is marked by that moment of traditional renaissance, which is inscribed on the memorial square this July. The spirit of that uprising is embodied in it. And this July Memorial Square is one of the places to mark this place as a memorial. It's nothing special, but it's inspiration, courage, an intention to move forward.
| What time of day do you prefer to visit and why? |
|---|
I like to go to this place late in the day. Because there is a very pleasant atmosphere here in the afternoon. Especially on the road, the sun is strong all day long, but in the afternoon, a pleasant, cool atmosphere is created here, free from the sun. I notice people coming here in the afternoon, everyone comes here to enjoy the afternoon moment. One of the times in the afternoon when people come here and review it. This place is perfect for spending one of the best moments of the afternoon. However, there won't be much opportunity to enjoy it here at other times of the day. The atmosphere here is very elegant and temperate from 4 pm to evening. So I like to visit this place in the afternoon.
| If this place could talk, what secret would it tell about you? |
|---|
Writing the name of the martyr |
|---|
This place inspires me, it gives me courage. My feelings at the moment of the uprising can easily recall this place. Because the uprising in Gazipur began from this July Memorial Square. And that's why this place spoke to me of the struggles of the past, when the hairs on my body stood up at the fall of the authoritarian regime. This place spoke vividly to me about that memorable moment in July, which was so tragic. Because this place is very well known about the July Uprising. If this place could talk, it would express the feelings I imagine in my mind. I hold it in my mind and a moment and my desires would manifest as if this place.
