"The Brewery Bourgogne des Flandres"

*

Hello my dear Steemians,

After our recent trip to Bruges I have wonderful photos while we were on boat trip that also gave a good opportunity to see the whole city and it’s sightseeing highlights.

So to start with the place that we visited is Bruges, the old, historical city in northwest part of Belgium but also it is one of the popular touristic city in Europe.

The reasons why it is popular are:

  • due to its old history and preserved Medieval architecture

  • when we were there I asked the receptionist in Hotel where is the old church, she was puzzled she said that they had more than 9 churches in this only one city, then I was also puzzled hearing that

  • water canals that are crossing the whole city and reaching every single point of the city

  • the other important attraction is famous Belgian chocolates with so many shops everywhere in city

On the first picture it is The Brewery Bourgogne des Flandres old traditional Bier Brewery restaurant that is located with terrace at the canals and guests are enjoying a fresh breeze but also beautiful view.

Bruges Old St. John's Hospital

We started our journey and the first building was the Bruges old St. John's Hospital. That was used in the past and of course, nowadays it is just an attraction. From canal side there is place for boats to come and let patients to get into hospital. I think in the past people had more boats and maybe it was the fastest and easiest way to reach hospital.

Beguinage Ten Wijngaerde' with its white-coloured house fronts

This building with white entrance is leading to wonderful garden, usually very much loved by visitors and also any tourists after seeing it while on boat tend to return to this place and visit garden.

Cafes and Hotels at canal side

The other attraction that is very well noticeable when you are taking a boat trip is hotels and cafes with windows overseeing canal and boats but also in the evening it is really nice to be able to watch sunset with it s orange, purple sky while sun is going down.

Rozenhoedkaai, or the Rosary Quay

Rozenhoedkaai, or the Rosary Quay is one of the popular and very well know sightseeing point in Bruges. When I was looking for nice motifs for my painting and art then I noticed this beautiful view. Water, the building that has the famous weeping willow tree with branches and leaves overhanging the water in canal. Tourists try to capture that scene in memory about this beautiful city.

*After we have had this boat trip we definitely have more tips for places to visit when we are in Bruges. At least for now Bruges is still on my to do list, the only what we need to make sure that visit the place either a little bit earlier in summer in maybe later in August, so that it is not too hot.

Thank you @rokonn for supporting my photography post :)

Greetings! Very lovely photos—I liked them; they capture a beautiful atmosphere.

The one I mentioned first sounded quite intimidating, but it looks very beautiful.

Blessings.

It's actually beautiful learning about these things.
