SLC31-W4 | THE GREEN JOURNEY: Earthing and the Elements
Greetings from Mohammad Sumon!
How are you all friends? Hope you all are well. I am doing very well with all your prayers and the infinite mercy of the great Allah.
First of all, thank you @bijoy1 & @muzack1 for organizing this contest with a wonderful topic. This is my second participation in this community season, and I tried to present everything beautifully. Basically, I will share various experiences, including my rooftop garden and my connection with nature, in this contest. So, let's get started!

In this era of mechanization, the basic foundation of our existence is the five elements of nature - earth, water, air, fire and sky. Without them, we are completely immobile. "The Green Journey: Earthing and the Elements" calls us to return to that nature and rediscover ourselves in the earth.
What do I mean by earthing or connection with the earth? |

|---|
In my opinion, earthing means not only walking on the earth, but also recharging your body with the energy of nature. If you can get lost in nature, your mind and mentality change.
In the mechanical life of Dhaka city, we can hardly touch the earth at all. For me, Earthing is spending some time every day under the open sky and among the plants, which relieves my mental fatigue.

My Roof Garden: A Piece of Green in the Mechanical City |
|---|
Amidst the busy city of Dhaka, the roof of my house is a place of peace for me. Here, various types of plants (such as chilli, lemon, aloe vera, medicinal plants, brinjal, gourd, and various vegetables) have been planted by my landlord. The landlord spends most of his time taking care of the plants. Since I am a temporary resident of Dhaka, I do not have the opportunity to plant plants on the roof, but I have planted plants in small glass pots in my room and take proper care of them.

My Earthing Experience |
|---|
I have experience walking barefoot. When I go to the village, I walk barefoot. I think walking barefoot removes various types of diseases and pests from the body. Walking barefoot in the village pond has a different kind of tranquility. Since I live in Dhaka city, I sometimes try to walk barefoot. From the perspective of us urban people, I say this - when we touch the ground under our feet, even in a brick building, both the body and mind are filled with peace.

My opinion on natural elements and health |
|---|
I think that the physical work done by getting vitamin D from sunlight, taking in fresh air, and taking care of plants while gardening is much more effective than the gym. My personal experience is that when I spend time in the garden, my mind is calm and I sleep much better. Also, I believe that our connection with nature helps us greatly in reducing the stress of our daily work.

I think that this connection with nature should be an integral part of all of our lives. My appeal to everyone is that everyone should plant trees, even if it is in a small pot. This journey of ours is aimed at protecting the environment and building a sustainable and green world.
