The dairy game: (19/07/2026) A Quiet Morning of Prayer and Arabic Study
Hello everyone @dansabeadah
I hope you're all doing well. Today was a calm and productive day, and I spent most of my morning focusing on something that has become a very important part of my daily routine, improving my Arabic.
The day began early when I woke up and performed my Fajr prayer. There is always something refreshing about starting the day in worship before the world becomes busy. After finishing my prayer, I sat quietly for a few minutes, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and preparing myself mentally for a session of study.
Once I was ready, I brought out my Madinah Arabic books and continued my lessons. Rather than simply reading through the chapters, I challenged myself by answering several of the exercises in the textbook. Some questions were straightforward, while others made me stop and think carefully before writing my answers. Whenever I struggled with a sentence or grammar rule, I went back to review the explanation instead of rushing ahead. Although it took more time, I felt it helped me understand the lessons much better.
After working through the exercises, I switched to listening practice. I watched one of Imam Ahmad's Arabic videos, paying close attention to his pronunciation and sentence structure. At first, I couldn't catch every word, but I noticed that I was recognizing more vocabulary than I did a few weeks ago. That small improvement encouraged me to keep listening without becoming discouraged by the parts I didn't understand.
By the end of my study session, I felt satisfied with the progress I had made. Learning a language requires consistency more than speed, and every lesson adds another piece to the puzzle. Some days the progress feels obvious, while on other days it is much smaller, but every effort counts.
Today's experience reminded me that steady practice, patience, and trust in Allah can produce meaningful results over time. I pray that Allah grants me beneficial knowledge and keeps me consistent on this journey of learning Arabic.
Thank you for reading, and I wish everyone a productive and blessed day.
