My Pencil Art: Drawing a Beautiful Lady Wearing a Floppy Hat

Welcome back to my blog. It's your boy @donsultan, and today I'm super excited to share another pencil drawing with you all — a beautiful lady wearing a stylish floppy hat.

Anytime I pick up my pencil, I feel calm and free. Drawing is like therapy for me. So today, I sat down with my sketch pad and decided to create something elegant and mysterious. Let me walk you through how I did it, step by step. 😊

- A plain white sketch paper

- HB pencil (for light sketching)

- 2B pencil (for darker lines and shading)

- Eraser (for small corrections )

- Sharpener

- A quiet space and a relaxed mind

I started by sketching the hat first because it is the main focus of the drawing. I drew a half-circle shape for the top of the hat, then added the wide wavy brim to give it that floppy and stylish look. I also added a ribbon band around the hat and a cute little bow on the side to make it more fashionable.

Next, I drew the outline of her face under the hat. Since the hat covers her eyes, I only needed to draw the lower part of her face. I also sketched her neck and bare shoulders using soft curved lines. At this stage, the drawing was already looking interesting.

Now this is where the magic started happening. I added her long hair flowing down on both sides of her face. I used smooth long strokes to show the direction of the hair. I also drew her small nose and full lips to give her a soft and pretty look.

Lastly, I picked up my 2B pencil and started shading. I shaded her hair to give it depth and shine, and I also shaded the ribbon on the hat to make it stand out. I added a little shadow under the brim of the hat to show that the hat is blocking the light from her face. Then I drew her off-shoulder top with small stitching details. After cleaning the rough edges with my eraser, my drawing was finally complete.

I really enjoyed drawing this beautiful lady. The hat covering her eyes gives her a mysterious vibe, like she is hiding a secret. Art has a way of telling stories without using any words, and that is one of the things I love most about it.
