The Diary Game: [05/05/2026] Stitch And Style Diaries: From Supplier To Shop Lockdown
Good day, guys. I trust your day has been productive. I welcome you back to this little corner of my life, let's get into it. I began my day feeling energetic and enthusiastic. I proceeded with my morning routine, after which, I wore this dress I had earlier brought out from my wardrobe, all set and ready for the day.
Here is my sewing materials vendor's shop. I needed shirt button for the shirt I was sewing, but I met her attending to customers that got there before me, I had to wait till it got to my turn. My vendor is the woman standing, she is a very nice woman. It eventually got to my turn and I took my time to choose the perfect button for the shirt.
I arrived at my shop, I opened and arranged everything the way they ought to be. I did not have to sweep because I did before I locked up last night, I only dusted the necessary things. Luckily, we had light. Immediately, I started sewing, continued from where I stopped, which was joining of the sleeves. When I was through with it, I went ahead to interlock the sleeves.
À shirt is not complete without a buttonhole, right? Right. After making the buttonhole, I went ahead to open it up to make opening for the button.
I was making sure the two front piece were well aligned for me to get the accuarte markings where the button will be fixed, while at it, I also attached my label to the collar. I had my food afterwards.
I picked up the trouser to do the final finishing and that was inserting the elastic into the waistband.
Here, I was steaming the trouser to perfection, and I also did the same to the shirt.
Unfortunately for me, nepa cut out the electricity supply few minutes after I finished ironing, and here I was getting air with the brown paper in my hand.
And here is the finished result. It came out beautiful and the colours complimenting eachother was a plus. Finished results like this, makes me love my job more. I took the mannequin out for display, this particular customer doesn't mind displaying her clothe on the mannequin. It's just few of my customers that doesn't like it.
The close of business arrived, I put everything back in place, packed everything that was outside in, and here is a view of how my shop looks like at closing hour.
I arrived home, I went to greet my family, opened my room door and entered. I got undressed and went to shower and I felt restored. Here in the southern part of Nigeria, our soups are called "omi obe" which means watery soup, I had it with swallow. With my plate empty, I stood up and went to wash my plate. I retired back to my room, sorry my bathroom because I had to shower again. I would be staying up for some hours watching series on my phone before I sleep. This concludes today's session, thank you for having me guys and have a goodnight rest.
