Butterlife The Dairy Game by @malikaamir[ 20/04/2026/

Aslam o alaikum!

Today I had a day off from college, and when I woke up in the morning, the sky was covered with clouds. After offering Fajr prayer, I rested for a while. When the rain stopped, I decided to step outside and enjoy the beauty of nature and observe the hard work of our farmers.

The View After Rain

As soon as I stepped out of my house, I was welcomed by the fresh, earthy fragrance of wet soil. The cool breeze after rain felt incredibly refreshing. Everywhere I looked, there was greenery, and dark clouds were still floating in the sky.
On my way, I noticed a small patch of clear rainwater collected among the grass. I stopped there for a moment and washed my feet — the coolness of that water is something I can still feel.

Wheat Harvest & A Traditional Skill

In our village, machines are still rare, and most of the work is done by hand. These days, the wheat harvesting season is at its peak.

There, I witnessed something very interesting. An elderly farmer was soaking some wheat plants in water. Curious, I asked him about it. He smiled and said:

"Son, I am wetting this wheat to make flexible ropes (called ‘Para’) from it, so I can tie bundles of harvested wheat."

I was amazed to see how skillful our farmers are — using natural resources so efficiently without relying on modern tools.

Sweet Berries from the Fields

While walking through the fields, I spotted a small berry tree. The fresh, ripe berries hanging from it looked so tempting that I couldn’t resist.
I picked a few and tasted them — they were incredibly sweet and far better than anything you find in the market.

Thanks for reading my diary. Have you ever spent a day with farmers? Share your experience in the comments. I would love to hear your story.`
