Wedding traditions in Pakistani culture

In Pakistani cultures weddings are celebrated with greats joy and excitemnts.They usually last for several days and each day has its own importnce.One of the most colorful evnts is the Mehndi ceremony.In this events the bride wears bright clothes mostly in yellow or green and beautiful henna is applid on her hands.Family members and friends sing songs dance and enjoyed together.It is a very lively and cherful occasions where everyones forgets their worries and celebrates happiness.
Another importants event is the Dholki.This is a traditionals gathering where peoples sit together plays the dholki and sing old wedding songs.It brings familes closers and cretes a warm and friendly atmosphre.It is usualy held at home and contnues for several nights before the wedding.The most importnts part of a Pakistani wedding is the Nikah. This is the relgious ceremony where the bride and groom officially becomes husband and wife. It is a simple but very meaningful event.The Nikah is performed by a religious scholars and both the bride and groom agree to the marriage.Prayers are offered for their happy and successful life together.This moments is very emotional and importants for both families.
After the Nikah the Barat takes place.This is when the groom arrives with his familys and friends to the wedding venue.It is a grand event and everyone is dressd in beautiful traditional clothes. There is a lot of excitements music and delicious food.People greet each other and celebrated the union of two families.One of the most emotional moments in a Pakistani wedding is the Rukhsati.This is when the bride says goodbye to her parents and leaves her home to started a new life with her husband. It is a very touching moments filled with tears and prayers.It shows the deep love between parents and their daughter.
Finally the Walima is held by the groom’s family.It is a reception where both families and guests come together again to celebrate the marriage.It is usually more formal and elegant and it marks the beginning of the couple’s new life.
