Dairy Game : 17/06/2026 - Chores and chores

Hello Steemit Family! Hope you're all doing great? It's @sommybekes again and I want to share today's dairy with you all. So yesterday was the first time I was doing chores around the house during my holiday as I was no longer a visitor again. Lol. Today was full of even more chores. It felt like every chore had been waiting for me to attend to them. Anyways, shortly after I woke up, my mother asked me to wash her clothes as she was going to the farm that day. So I was given my first task for the day. This is me washing her clothes.

I decided to wash my own clothes too, after that. The day was a bit sunny and I thought it best to wash my clothes. Even though I wanted to do it the next day. I just decided to get everything done today. I was not a lover of laundry so it was better to do everything today. That's how I started washing my own clothes too. My clothes turned out to be more than I expected. I realized I was quickly running out of clothes as I had only packed little clothes for my holiday. I was glad I made the decision to wash them today.

After doing laundry, I rested for a while and ate breakfast before I started sweeping the compound. Normally I would sweep the compound before laundry, but today I wanted to get laundry out of the way first because the weather kept switching between sunny and cloudy and I wanted the clothes to get dried before nightfall. Especially my mother's clothes because she had two shirts she wanted to use tomorrow.

When I was done sweeping, I freshened up and had to cook a something for lunch. We had some plantain we had gotten from our farm. That was what mom and decided we would cook for lunch. So I started prepping the plantain with my younger sister. For those who don't know, plantains looks like bananas. But it is different from bananas and it has its own health benefits. It can be cooked/ prepared in different ways too.

Today was well spent even though it was full of chores. I'm glad I've tackled my laundry so I'll be having clean clothes to wear for a few more days. I'm happy and excited for tomorrow. And I can't wait to share tomorrow with you guys. I hope your day was great too. Thanks everyone. Sending hugs.
