The Diary Game: [25/04/2026] Saturday On The Football Field.

My Saturday didn't start like one of those calm and exciting vlogs. My Alarm rang at exactly 7:30am, because I didn't get enough rest last night I snoozed it till 8:15. First thing I did was check my phone --no urgent messages, just my brother's text from last night: "Don't forget,4pm kickoff. Jollof rice dey[is at] house if you come early". I laughed. He knows me too well.

I got to the field 3:50pm.Place was already bubbling. Small boys selling pure water, one uncle like that was blowing whistle for warm-up, some mothers with umbrellas and little teens shouting jersey numbers like it's World Cup. My brother spotted me from the bench, ran over sweating already. "You come late o". he said, grinning.

Second half was so dramatic. Their team was 1-0 down and my brother was playing right wing, running like his life depended on it. Around 70th minute, Musa I recognize him very well a very good friend of my brother got the ball into the goalpost making the score 1-1. I screamed so loud the mama beside me said "calm down o". The last ten minutes was back to back tackles and the ref pretending not to see anything. Final whistle, 1-1. Not a win, but the way my brother hugged his teammates, you would think they lifted trophy. He came me after soaked with sweats. I just told him to go shower before he pursues people with sweat.
