Our little flower pots =/= Unsere kleinen Blumentöpfe 👹🍣🎎 Wonderful Japan ENG-GER

It’s not just the parks and gardens outside where things are in bloom right now; things have gotten a little more colorful in front of our house too. Unfortunately, we don’t really have much space to plant anything here, so we mostly just have a few small flower pots that we can set out.

Right now, it’s yellow and pink that are brightening up the area in front of our house. On the left, we see a few Delosperma, known in Japan as “three o’clock flowers.” This plant is characterized by its many small, bright yellow blossoms and thick, succulent leaves. It is a tought little plant that loves sunny spots, and always opens its flowers in the afternoon.

On the right, you can see a gerbera, a popular ornamental plant that produces large, eye-catching flowers. Gerberas are popular worldwide as garden and potted plants and often symbolize joy and happiness.

Probably precisely because there isn’t much color in front of our house otherwise, we find our flowers to be a nice eye-catcher. Together, they create a beautiful, vibrant combination and show how even just a couple of small flower pots can make a place much friendlier and livelier. Hopefully, they’ll stay with us for a long time to come...

Nicht nur draußen in den Parks und Gärten ist es derzeit am Blühen, auch bei uns vor dem Haus ist es ein klein wenig bunter geworden. Leider haben wir nicht wirklich viel Platz, um hier etwas anzupflanzen, uns so sind es meist nur kleinere Blumentöpfe, die wir uns hinstellen können.

Zur Zeit ist es Gelb und Rosa, was bei uns vor dem Haus leuchtet. Links sehen wir ein paar Mittagsblumen (Delosperma), die in Japan als Drei-Uhr-Blumen bekannt sind. Typisch für diese Pflanze sind ihre vielen kleinen, strahlend gelben Blüten und die dicken, sukkulenten Blätter. Sie ist besonders robust, liebt sonnige Standorte und öffnet ihre Blüten immer erst am Nachmittag.

Auf der rechten Seite sieht man eine Gerbera, eine beliebte Zierpflanze, die große auffälligen Blüten bildet. Gerbera sind weltweit als Garten- und Topfpflanzen beliebt und stehen oft symbolisch für Freude und Fröhlichkeit.

Wahrscheinlich gerade weil es sonst nicht so viel bunt vor unsrem Haus gibt, sind unsere Blumen für uns ein richtiger Blickfang. Zusammen bilden sie eine schöne farbenfrohe Kombination und zeigen, wie schon ein zwei kleine Blumentöpfe einen Ort viel freundlicher und lebendiger machen können. Hoffentlich bleiben sie uns noch lange erhalten...
