Life hacks seem too amazing to be true, yet the best life hacks are always the easiest. Through experience, I have come to know that simple things done regularly can greatly simplify your life. The two-minute rule has been one life hack that has worked for me, and I am sure many others would find it useful.

🔹 What is your favorite life hack?

One life hack that I really appreciate is the "two minute rule." Any activity which will take less than two minutes is always done instantly without postponing it to later on. This could be anything from replying to a crucial message, cleaning the plate after a meal or simply placing an item in its place. These are all small activities, but when procrastinated they end up causing unnecessary clutter and chaos.

It has become clear to me that this is a more time-saving strategy than scheduling every small activity in my day. This way I keep everything clean and tidy.

🔹 How does it help you in your daily life?

The other application of the rule of two minutes in my everyday life is that it allows me to keep my life organized without experiencing any sort of pressure. In case there is a little task that requires only two minutes for its completion, then instead of postponing it for later, I prefer to complete it at once. It is because it prevents me from accumulating any chore that makes my day more difficult to handle.

One of the other benefits that it offers is that it minimizes procrastination. As soon as one gets accustomed to the process of completing little chores instantly, then it becomes easier to move on to completing large chores too.

🔹 Would you recommend others to try this life hack? Why?

I would recommend it almost to everybody because of its simplicity, practicality, and absence of any special equipment or complicated planning. There are usually little things that we are always putting off, and they take our time but mostly occupy our head. Two minutes principle will help you to get rid of this vicious circle.

However, at the same time, it should be used wisely, and not be followed unconditionally. In case if you are working on some important task and interrupted all the time by smaller tasks, you should finish your primary activity first and then deal with other tasks. It means that any habit should be used reasonably.

The thing I like the most about it is the fact that its effectiveness becomes obvious only with the course of time. The room gets tidied, inbox becomes empty, and there are fewer tasks in the to-do list.
