In Esther chapter four, for Mordecai, we see the extent of stages he went through to make deliverance for his people a reality. He was bent on succeeding and he never relented in his effort. He damned the music to face the consequences. The study will be examined under the following sections:

The first is dealing with trial step of the deliverance: In the book of Esther chapter four verse one to three, Mordecai got a detailed revelation of the plot to slaughter the Jews. He perceived the problem. He was aware of what was going on. He had to act with a much he could do in the immediate. He rented his clothes and put on sack cloth, went to the city to cry. It was unlawful for him to put on sack cloth while at the king's gate. Mordecai was after survival and not submission. He needed to blow the alarm of the problem. He knew that the action will draw attention that will pave way for solution. He defied the rule and played it rugged. Without this trial step, how would Esther been alerted. This was the main game that brought deliverance Mordecai perceived and following his intuition, he timed on something that later worked. It is generally said that a journey of one hundred miles begins on a day. One step at a time Always pray for power of perception Jesus ability to perceive, helped him a lot. His power of perception helped him to act in a way he was not entangled (Matthew. 22:15-22: Mark 2:6-12), Abigail became aware of impending problem and did something on the spot,( 1 Sam 25. 17-20). Daniel knew what was done against him and began to act(Dan 6: 9-10), Mordecai's trial step towards his deliverance had led to the next stage.

The second point is detailing the true source in the next stage of deliverance: The first action of Mordecai in obtaining deliverance had led to spreading the information to the palace. In Esther 4:4-9 , Mordecai knew what he wanted. His need was not raiment. He narrated the real source of the problem. If this was not done Esther would have found it difficult to tackle. In dealing with any problem effectively, we should be able to know the cause. Moses mother used this principle to save the life of her son. (Exodus 1:22; 2:1-10), Pharaoh ordered the law of killing, survival should come through him. Nehemiah followed the same way, the king bound, he too can order release(Nehemiah. 1: 11, 2:1-8), In Matthew 12: 43-45, Jesus went to the root of the matter, Mordecai was bent on pressing further until the deliverance comes in the shape he wants.

Determination to swim through amidst all dangers: Mordecai shook Esther to influence the law as to obtain deliverance for the people in the book of Esther 4:10-17. Esther wouldn't have seen this last possibility by prayer, if Mordecai did not send that firing slot. Let us learn to persevere till our goal is achieved. Jacob prevailed over the angel (Gen 32:24-28), Jabez called on God in (1st Chronicle 4:9-10), present day wrestling in Ephesians. 6:12.

Thank you foe this faith booster. Your topic is apt and the choice of passages to run the exegesis are good. I love that part in Esther chapter four verse sixteen (Esther 4:16) whom Queen Esther with determination appeared before the king when it was not her time. Her statement in that verse "if i perish i perish" teaches that there no limit to what determination can do.

We must accept certain challenge and come out strong than to run away of what is pursuing us.

Thanks, you are welcome
