Here is: contest link.Anyway, let's get started--
Today, August 15th, is our country's Independence Day. So, after waking up and freshening up, I got ready to head to the Rajbari. Students from various colleges, our own Burdwan University, and other hostels had all gathered there. Although we missed the first bus sent to pick up the girls from our hostel.A second bus was arranged for us. The national flag hoisting took place at 9:15 AM an event that many of us, myself included missed. However, we arrived and took our seats, and shortly then, the Independence Day program began at the Rajbari.
Many people had gathered at the Rajbari professors from our university, visiting researchers, and various distinguished individuals. Although I do not recall everyone's name. I do remember Partha Pratim Das. There were many such attendees, and the event commenced with a portrait of Sri Aurobindo Ghosh placed prominently at the front.
Sri Aurobindo Ghosh was an Indian philosopher, politician, yogi, poet, nationalist, and journalist. This exceptionally talented journalist edited newspapers such as Bande Mataram. Furthermore, he joined the freedom movement to liberate India from British colonial rule and was an powerful leader of the movement.
The event began with a flowers tribute to the picture of the figure being proud, followed by the singing of Vande Mataram. Then, the speeches commenced, disperse between the speeches, various individuals performed protest songs and recited poetry. Students from different departments of Burdwan University presented a mime act centered on the theme of India's independence. Additionally, the winners of various competitions were announced, and prizes were awarded to them. Finally, the program concluded with the singing of the national anthem. Afterward, we were served tiffin and returned to the hostel by bus.
I tried to take a few photos during the event, although they didn't turn out very clear. For tiffins, we were served four types of sweets, cake, and snacks. Upon returning to the hostel, I collected my meal from the dining hall. Then after showering and eating, I had a long sleep.
