Contest Week 101: "Some distinctive photographs, accompanied by stories"
Today, I will share a few photographs. Each photograph tells a story of its own. Hidden behind these images lie tales of laughter, tears, and life itself. Behind every picture lies a living narrative—one that recounts the chronicles of both city and village life. Photographs never grow old; rather, they serve as witnesses to history and stand as primary evidence, preserved within their frames.
This contest is undoubtedly excellent, and it has been organized by @steemkidss. I extend my sincere thanks to them for organizing such a wonderful contest. So let's take a look---

There is an amusing story behind this photograph. In reality, this is a spot situated near a field—a place where a house constructed of bamboo and corrugated iron sheets stands, yet remains uninhabited. Due to its abandonment, the structure has become overgrown with vegetation and has fallen into a state of near-ruin. A group of young boys are gathering the bamboo and straw from this house to use for the renowned 'Nera Pora' bonfire ritual, held on the eve of Holi—an occasion that brings immense joy to the children.
This is Palsit Station. For six years, I traveled to various destinations through this station. However, it is now merely a memory to us, as we no longer reside here. Nevertheless, we still find ourselves visiting it occasionally—once or twice—whenever the need arises.
Bardhaman is, by definition, a place steeped in history. Scattered across its various localities lie countless Zamindar mansions—residences where kings and feudal lords once lived. With the passage of time, these former inhabitants have relocated elsewhere; consequently, these grand mansions now stand all but abandoned. One such building is situated right within the bustling market area, its walls now overgrown with various weeds.
This is a scene from the Tentultala Market, where a market is held on a regular basis. It is a place where vegetables can be purchased at affordable prices. This market enjoys considerable popularity in Bardhaman. We used to shop at this market quite frequently in the past, although we no longer do so now due to the distance.
