My Day Was Just One Thing After Another 😅
I didn’t even plan to wake up late, but somehow I was still in bed by 11:30am. I had a lecture from 12pm to 2pm, so I jumped up, brushed, and ran out thinking I could still catch the gist of it. Got to the lecture hall by 12:05pm, only to meet people packing their bags. The lecturer apologized and said they had to cut things short because there was a project defense happening in the faculty that same morning. He said they were given a directive to round up early, so our class just ended before it even started. All that rushing for nothing, honestly.
After I came out, I didn’t know what to do with the rest of the afternoon. It was barely 12:30pm and the day was still wide open. I linked up with a few guys and we just started walking around campus, no real destination. We were just talking about life, joking, catching up on gists. The vibe was chill. But then NEPA did what they do best - they took the light. The whole area went dark. No power in the hostels, no power in the lecture halls, nothing. Because of that, nothing serious could happen for the rest of the day. No extra classes, no reading, no assignments. The day just switched to “rest mode” automatically.
By evening, I was already back home. There wasn’t much to do anyway since the light was still off. I just chilled, scrolled my phone a bit, and watched the day fade out. No major events, no stress, no drama. Just one of those quiet, slow Mondays where nothing really happens but you still feel like the day was full.
